Comments: This man and his crock side kick Glen ought to sit in prison for stealing people hard earned money. Just like the other complaint they were all in until the deposit was received. The work was started but never completed. I was afraid to speak out for the fear of retaliation against my family. Randy is a liar and a thief Nd should be held accountable for his actions. Work Description: Closet remodel
Comments: Worst decision ever for our personal home improvement projects. Randy came out eager to complete a closet remodel for $1800 and would finish in one week. Gave him $450 to buy the materials, his crew came to floor and build the walls. Gave him another $500 for that. Beyond that point, it was a nightmare. His crew would show up unannounced after texts and calls on when they would return to finish electrical, hvac, and other issues. Lots of excuses were eventually given but he evidently didn’t like to respond. I could go on about specific complaints but here’s the real kicker. He supposedly moved a hvac supply duct yet there was no air coming out. He said for over a week he’d come fix it but finally we let him go and called a few subs to finish what Randy and his crew messed up and/or didn’t complete. The hvac company who came took pics of where the “connection” was done. Yep, it was connected alright. It was taped against the other duct but wasn’t even connected. It was made to look that way. SCAMMERS. We texted him to address the deception and of course no reply. DON’T USE EVER.Charlotte NC

Comments: Service was great until I gave Glenn Dunnam and Randy Briel the deposit. Once they had our payment, Glenn stopped responding to email and phone calls. They did none of the work they were contracted for. After we learned about their history and issues with others, we canceled the contract. Randy has promised repeatedly to return our deposit, but after a year, he still owes $1,650.Concord NC

Build a 16 ft × 18 ft patio with ground pavers
Comments: June 30 2017 my wife and i signed a contract with Mega Decks and Patios to cut back a dirt bank behind my house 15 ft. Back and 45 ft across. And in addition build a 16ft × 18 ft patio with pavers. The work was said to start July 7,2017 and would take 10 days to complete., the work did not begin until july 18th. It is now July 25th and my yard looks like a war zone and nowhere near complete. Each day the guy doing the work,"Randy Briel" has a differant reason why he cannot. Do the work as stated in the contract.
july 25th until,july 29th. he then came for an hour and left for the day. did not return until aug 1st., worked 2 1/2 hours and quit. never to return
Glenn got our deposit on,june 30 never seen or heard from,him again. will not return calls or respond to text. he took the money, and he and randy,lived it,up
i had to hire another contractor from anotber co.,to clean up the mess they made, a,d finish the job.

Work Description: new deck 12x20 and 12x20 pergola on existing deck
Comments: I'm also a another victim of Rand Briel and Glenn Dunnam. We signed a contract with them for a new deck and a pergola on an existing deck on May 25 2017. Starting date is mid June 2017 and completion date should be end of June 2017. They would started the project to collect money based on the breakdown per contract. After getting our money, its our nightmare with them. Randy gave so many excuses after excuses why he could come. His crew came out a couple hours for a few days and did a very bad job on framing our deck. We found out whatever they have done was FAILED (per inspector) due to mecklenburg code enforcement. We have to fix and redo everything. What a big mistake we've made.Concord NC

Work Description: We have a designer deck built with a gazebo attached. The Carpenter who built the deck did a great job and they router the top handrails and the stairs.
We are very pleased with the design and the finished product. Job was done in a timely manner and we would recommend them two others

Comments: This contractor took me for a ride from day one. Potential customers need to do their research and google the owner R a n d y B r i e l. Everything is out there, so make an informed decision. Comments: It's been almost 6 months since I contracted with this company and I'm STILL waiting for them to finish!! I was told they would "complete the job" on a day that I was at my home so I paid them the remaining balance that I owed. When I returned, they were gone and not only did they NOT finish, they have yet to come back when they said they would even though I was "promised" my decks would be completed as promised when I called them. There are nails sticking out, two top rails weren't completely nailed down and are bowed up, my gate on the back deck scrapes the deck flooring, the routing hasn't been completed, I can hardly open my front storm door due to the deck being built too high, etc. The list goes on and on. I could kick myself for contracting with them but the sales rep, Glenn, talked a good game and made promises they couldn't deliver. Beware consumers!! Pass this company by!!Mount Pleasant NC

Work Description: I had a deck extended.
Comments: I worked w/ a gentleman by the name of Glen. He was very cost conscious and was even able to reuse my stairs. He extended the deck and laid completely new flooring, railings and reinforced the existing structural supports. He also laid the flooring on a diagonal , which greatly improved the overall appearance, at no extra charge. His price was extremely reasonable and he an his crew were very professional and punctual. Would highly recommend them. As a matter of fact, am hoping to use them for another project shortly.-
