Description: Modern Rehab & Construction, Inc. is a licensed, insured and bonded General Contractor in the state of Oregon. In order to maintain focus, quality and efficiency when developing and redeveloping our own properties, we chose to bring as much as possible in house. This helps reduce our costs, improve the quality of our homes and maintain our high standards. We keep our guys busy with our own properties but we also offer their services to other homeowners and companies under subcontract.

Work Description: Bathroom Remodel
Comments: I had a simple bathroom remodel, that resulted in no added value of having hired Modern Rehab and Construction for the work. They have a 30% upcharge for their service, which is not uncommon when hiring a general contractor . They did not however, provide service associated with that charge, I had to spend hours of my own time re-selecting new materials and directing subcontractors on my project, which defeated the purpose of paying MR&H to manage procurement of materials, permitting and scheduling and budgeting.There is a new project manager that was hired in the middle of my remodel (the previous one quit and didn't communicate any of this to me) who is trying to implement better management processes within the company. I hope that in the future they are able to provide a better quality product and service to their customers, but my experience was far from ideal and I would suggest prospective customers to do their due diligence prior to hiring this general contractor.
