Overall

Work Description: Soffit and Fascia repair

Comments: I needed some minor soffit and fascia work on my house and was referred to Supreme Exterior Services through Porch.com.

From the beginning there was poor communication, then without notice one day, random workers arrived at my house to work. Fortunately, I was home at the time (and spoke Spanish), so we could communicate (somewhat). After a lot of back and forth, I was finally able to confirm that they were, hired by Supreme Exterior Services to do the work that we had contracted them (Supreme Exterior Services) to do. However, the sub-contractors had not been given any of the details about the work previously agreed upon. So, they ended up doing the work incorrectly, and then required payment that day, made out to their company name. It was all very unsettling, and in the end, was not the work we had agreed to, per the estimate with Supreme Exterior Services.

The main issue is that we were assured the work would be done using matching materials (since it was a patch, it needs to match the existing soffit/fascia - which is a specific texture/style) that Supreme Exterior Services said they had in stock (this is the reason we went with Supreme in the first place). However, the sub-contractors showed up without any supplies, and apparently no instructions on which supplies to use. So they ended up just running to Home Depot, and without consulting me, made the repairs with materials that do not match the existing soffit/fascia.

After speaking with Ty he admitted that the work was done poorly/incorrectly and he would make it right. But after 8 months of texting nearly every week and being told someone would be by 'next week', I'm giving up.

Additional details adding to the confusion. The estimate provided by Supreme Exterior Services was on letter head from Eamon Walsh Construction. The workers who arrived requested the check be made to Sanchez General Remodeling. Leading me to believe there is a lot of sub-contracting happening, with no oversight or accountability.

A very poor experience throughout.

REPLY TO CONTRACTOR REVIEW
I am replying to the response from Supreme Exteriors.
So many issues I don't know where to start.
First of all, the response comes about a year after my complaint.
As you can see it is very unprofessional.
He told me when he took the 'tiny' job that he had the soffit in stock, but then had a sub-contractor install something completely different. He addmitted that it was wrong and that he would correct it. After 6 months of texting him every week and him telling me he'd fix it 'next week', I gave up.
He says "not worth the time or aggravation". What about doing the 'tiny' job right and what about my months of time, aggravation as well as money as I never received a refund.
After my experience I have lost all confidence in Porch.com to properly vet any provider that they recommend.
I'm disappointed that he is still allowed to be a provider for Networx/Porch.com as he is clearly poorly qualified and unprofessional.
Your color was not available and we did all we could. This is a tiny job and we spent way too much time appeasing you. Not worth the time or the aggravation!

Work Description: Patio - Screening

Comments: poor quality work on first attempt, worker was a whole day late, took a month to get them back out there to fix it, wanted payment before the shoddy work was repaired, workers unreliable, always had some kind of excuse for not showing up and the owner thought that was OK. Never again
I understand that you were upset. We installed your screens as indicated and someone accidentally caused one of screens to come lose. We replaced it at no charge and to this day I have not received any payment for the work. Have a blessed day! Ty

Work Description: Decks/Porches/Ramps - Build

Comments: He has $2000.00 of our money for our project & will not return it. We are not continuing to go ahead with him. Terrible company!
You changed your mind after signing the contract for several weeks after we started the process of obtaining the permit to build your screen enclosure. We need the down payment to pay for the engineering plans, permitting service, permit filing and permit fee and material purchase. No company would pay for these services without taking a down payment. I do not believe you would find any company to spend their own money to obtain an engineering plans, filing for permits, pay the permit fee and obtain the materials to build without your paying a down payment. Best wishes! Ty
