Work Description: Tile

Comments: Where do I start the first estimate was 1200 which we thought was quite reasonable, the second estimate from the same person was 1860. Can’t figure out why the room did not change size, in fact it was smaller in size than what we thought. We had no other choice but to agree to the second estimate as we were in a time crunch. After the contractor starts he tells my husband that he does not remove the nails in the floor. I had never heard of such a thing. You remove the ceramic, then the sub floorings and not the nails. Again we agreed to this what else can we do the demo job had already been started. When they were finished three days later we noticed that they had went through 2 walls. The first hole is small and went though from the kitchen threw to the steps going to the basement. The second hold is quite large and is in the pantry . Since we did not notice the rather large hole (nor did they own up to it) until they were long gone, what are our options,. We have decided not to ever use network.com again . I did take pictures of the damages and the nails in the flooring that they decided not to remove. My arthritic seventy year old husband spent two days removing them. Would I recommend them, no. In summary’s I believe they thought this was going to be a walk In the park , and in reality it was not. Paul did say to me that this was the first time he did a demo like this and he doubted he would do it again.
One of those jobs. They needed 4 layers of flooring removed and one of the layers being 1/2" plywood overly nailed. The estimate was for 2 layers. The original estimate never changed so the charges never rose they just adjusted for the extra work. Pulling thousands of ring shanked nails was discussed with the customers and they choose to pull the nails to help expediate the work. I got paid in full with no problems as I always do a walk through with the customers for work and payment approvals. If any holes (which were never mentioned) was caused by my company, My Insurance co. would handle any issues it deems fit.. If a problem did occur it would of been dealt with immediately. These are the rants of a customer wanting so much more then they paid for. Like I said, paid in full, I didn't write my own check, the customers did. Makes no sense to complain. Like I said one of those jobs....
