Comments: This guy has been dishonest from the get go. We signed a contract and then a week later he states that the cost of lumber went up and now needs $250 extra up front in addition to the $1400 we gave him to buy lumber. He also tried to add an additional $750 to our job total. We agreed on a lower cost. We asked for an invoice of the wood he already got and he tried to give us an invoice from a different job that didn’t not contain what was actually in our driveway. This was not even half the wood needed for the job. Needless to say we asked for our money back and he will not return our money or our calls. The job has not even been started. Comments: They came to our home to repair leak on our slate roof. We have now received rain and the leak continuous as before. Contacted company as they provide a 5 year guarantee. Said they would be out that week. Never called or came. Have called them the past 3 weeks to schedule appointment. They have not followed through or returned calls. So much for the guarantee...they were prompt to make the appointment and receive their check for payment, but they did not take my check made out in the company's name. Requested it be made out to Mr. Alexander. Still have out to get repaired. Hope this helps someone else.Birmingham AL
