Work Description: New thermostat
Comments: Steve came out and installed a new thermostat on the hottest day of the year. I had bought a new one from a DIY store and installed it myself, not knowing that a fuse in the furnace was burned out. The unit I installed was much too complicated for a couple of retirees that want a SIMPLE , easy, on and off, up and downs switch. Don’t want any fancy gadgets that our phone controls.. He installed the new one in 1/2 hour, showed us the “ push here, dummy, then, don’t touch” button. Cool air blowing....life is good! We’ve used Steve before, that’s why we called him again. Comments: My furnace was acting up 1/5/17 and technician from Consumer's Energy found a crack in the face of the heat exchanger. He recommended that the furnace be replaced quickly. I placed a referral on Newworx when I noticed bad reviews for several well known companies. I got a call from Steve as soon as the referral was placed and he came out the next morning to give me an estimate. The furnace & AC unit were replaced Monday. Comments: During the most recent "polar freeze",the boiler in one of my rental houses wouldn't' ignite. I pulled up your web page and you gave me four contractors in my area. Of the four, Switzer's Heating &Cooling; was the only one that responded. At Switzer's I spoke to Steve,who immediately addressed my problem. We did a boiler replacement and I couldn't be more pleased. They are extremely knowledgable and competent. Having been an electrical contractor myself for over 40 years, I know a good job when I see one!! I was so pleased with the job that I had them install the same boiler in the house next door, which I also own. I have more work coming up in the ear future at another rental, and Steve will certainly be the one to do it.Jack Hunger
