Comments: This company was fair in price, provided good quality craftsmanship, was efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. Ahmad, the owner, had good suggestions on what materials to use: better quality than what I was looking at and more cost efficient in the long run. They had the job done within 1 week because I had a tight schedule. They kept the work area clean and removed any construction waste. The crew was very professional and were focused on the job the entire time they were here. Everyone comments on how professionally the job is done and point out the small details that finish the floor properly. I would definitely recommend Sommer Home Improvement. Work Description: I had a previous contractor fail to complete my balcony tiling project and I needed to have it finished and then the whole space to be grouted.
Comments: Ahmed was the first one to call me and we scheduled for an appointment the following day in the morning. He came within the window of time we had agreed. He measured the space and gave me a cost for completing the project. I mentioned to him that I had gotten a more competitive price from a different contractor and we compromised on the price accordingly. He began the work immediately which was pleasantly surprising since my biggest problem with the previous contractor was all the excuses he would make to not come and finish the job on time. Ahmed spoke to me clearly about all the things he needed from me (in terms of materials etc) and got to work.After finishing Day 1 (which was cutting and installing tiles for all the missing spots) he left a clean workspace and returned the following day early in the morning to finish the rest of the job. He grouted the tiles and was done by mid-afternoon. My only complaint would be that he didn't clean the balcony railings as he was going through finishing the project and it has left some residue that I have had to clean by myself with a stiff brush which was hard and crusty on Day 3.
The balcony floor looks gorgeous and exactly as I wanted and I'm definitely going to hire Ahmed for other projects that I have around my condo.
