Work Description: Metal Roof Vent Repair
Comments: We have to hire someone else to make the same repair less than a year later. His guarantee is garbage and his recap of events (under my husband's factual review) is a lie.He was hired to repair a broken vent pipe. He increased the price for the repair from $600 to $1100 the day he showed up. He then spent UNDER AN HOUR standing the pipe up, replacing the boot, and taping it in place. No mention of how it appeared to be a more serious problem or how it looked to have happened before at the time of the repair, just took our money and left. Then when it failed 8 months later and we reach out (february), first he blows us off for a month, then he tells us that its a more serious problem that he did not address and he's "not an f-ing plubmer". After pressing him on the supposed warranty, he claimed he would talk to his business partner and get back to us to set up a time, then never did. It is now May, and we still have not heard.
Maine is a small state to be treating people so poorly. Hopefully this will help others keep from being stolen from as we have been.

Comments: We hired Connor to replace our leaky old skylights in our cabin, and upon inspection he found a few spots that required additional repair near our chimney, which he included in his estimates for us. Unfortunately, supply chain issues with the skylights caused a delay in getting the work done, but once the parts were in, Connor confirmed timing with us, he was very responsive, and once the work got started, he and his team were done in just 2 days. Throughout the process, Connor was professional and courteous, and we'd absolutely hire him again for future roof repairs or installations.
