Work Description: install wall ovenComments: On May 5th I went to Lowes to order a wall oven. Installers came on the 14th to measure for installation. I paid for the oven and installation on May 18th. Oven was received by Lowes on June3rd. Rickman called to confirm installation on June 7th. They never showed up on that date. I called them that afternoon but it was after hours so I left a message. I then called Lowes and found out that the wrong oven had been delivered to them. Therefore, they sent that one back and ordered a new one that is due on the 21st. When Rikman discovered that they were not going to install an oven that day they did not let me know that they were not coming. I find that very disrespectful and irritating . They should treat their customers better than that
Work Description: Water Softener InstallComments: They were contracted through Lowes to install a Water Softener. They did an initial home visit, and quoted 600 to hook up two pieces of flex hose to an existing water softener install location. They also cited the needed hardware to Lowes, which I paid for and took home to await the installers. 2 weeks later they have an availability, and the two guys that show up 45 minutes later than their estimate 30-45 minutes tell me that Lowes has sold me the wrong hardware. Hardware that was sourced from their inspection of my existing plumbing. They did not have the correct hardware with them, and arrived to late in the day to return to Lowes to gather the correct hardware.
Additionally their coordinator and scheduler has an abismal demeanor on the phone and no communication skills. Calls to schedule my install, then puts me on hold for 10 minutes, when she gets back says she is sorry she called, that they need more information from Lowes. When I ask what she needs, she tells me that she can't tell me, and when I say I am the person buying this service, perhaps I have the answer you need. She bluntly says no, we need to talk to Lowes, and then hangs up on me. After not hearing anything for three days, I went to my Lowes and I get the lowdown that Rikman canceled the install because Lowes changed the install price based upon the ludicris thought of 600 to install 2 flex pipes. Short story there is it seems Lowes picked up the tab, and Rikman called me to schedule the service. Again, same curt woman calling to shcedule my service, starts to line up my appointment then says she is sorry for calling me... again... I tell her that she did the same thing over a week ago... what is the issue? She says she needs some info from Lowes, and that she will call me back, but appearently i still owe money for my install... I tell her that I have paid the price that Lowes had on the contract... she tells me she will call Lowes and get it from them. She calls back 2 hours later and says she is finally ready to schedule my appointment, and that the first one available is that afternoon. I say i can't do it on such short notice as I am at work... she then tells me the next available date is 2 weeks away on a friday from between 2-7 pm. I take it, and then I wait....
All in all, terrible communication, poor work ethics.. (they came and saw a large house in an expensive neighborhood and thought they could squeeze 600 out for two flex hoses... well over a month since i scheduled the first visit, and my water softener is still not installed to a ready and primed location.... Incompetence is the only word that comes close to describing this outfit... steer clear, i would drop them if I wasn't already so far into the project with Lowes...
