As a former American Home Shield Representative, I encountered multiple complaints from this vendor even our Contract Relations Department can't handle how rude and professional he is. I have
never assigned a service request to this terrible Company. They are not submitting any diagnosis for us to help the Homeowner they made AHS as bad as it looks because of their doing. Karma will be at you soon!

Comments: His last words to me was “ENJOY BEING YOUNR AND FAT” Ray, jeff whoever he calls himself on the phone said he’d be here by 11:20 am. Sent a text message at 12:15 for an eta. Called me yelling at me that I need to be patient and I’m putting him in a bad mood and continued to shout that I must learn patience and I’m taking time away from his customer.
When he arrives to my home I told him to not talk to me that way and it became into a shouting match and left my home why yelling from his truck “enjoy being young and fat”

Comments: AHS dispatch to fix our AC. Technician parked on fresh sealed driveway. Ask him move the driveway….. he aggressively state “Why”. I asked him why he had a problem with that.

He screamed you insulted me, got is his truck rolled down the window and again stated you insulted me and good luck getting your AC repaired.

Sent text into company since they do not answer phones ever with my complaint….. he called me with another earful of how I insulted him and would be back.

This loose cannon should not be going to anyone’s residence……. Agree Bird

Work Description: AMERICAN HOME SHIELD- DISPATCHED RR HVAC, INCH

Comments: No stars.

First of all, extremely bad customer service from Debra and Ray-Technician/owner. They won't respond to your calls, text or pleads for help. They told AHS, that they called me back but they never did. I received one text from Debra after I called, left messages and text them for an appointment. Debra said we could be their between 10am and 2pm. I asked today since she did not specified today and she replied "No tomorrow " Ray / technician / owner showed up close to 6pm .
But it was not a very pleasant meeting with Ray.

Rude and unproffesional treatment from Ray.

He said "If I don't like the customer, I won't fixed their A/C."

I don't think he fixed my unit properly. One of the vents won't work .

He Talked politics, horrible.

He blamed the bad customer service that we get from dispatchers
at AHS to Obama and Biden. Wow.

He said "What he hates about his work is the customers"

He said "I complicated everything with my bad communication".

I told AHS Dispatch that my heater and air condition broke down and when Ray came he yelled at me "He asked which one broke"? I said i bought one unit that works together to heat and air condition my home.
He was angry and frustrated then he realized I have a heat pump.
At the beginning he said that I had both a heater and an air conditioning.

He accused the company that installed my Heat Pump of wiring my system wrong. Turns out my unit was ok, it was a heat pump.

Was very condescending and would cut me off when I would try to speak to him.

I would continue to share his unprofessional treatment and thinking but it makes me sick.

I would never recommend this company. I would never want them In my home again.

Comments: Believe all of the horrible reviews you see. My experience was fairly similar.

If you had a bad experience with them PLEASE CALL YOUR WARRANTY COMPANY and ask to talk to their contractor relations department to place a complaint. Otherwise this guy is just going to get automatic business no matter how rude he is!

He yelled at us the moment the phone call started, was aggressive and condescending. Have never encountered a worse customer service representative.

Work Description: Heater Repair

Comments: Very conscientious and helpful. Explained a situation with my 86 year old mom who did not have heat. I told them I needed fixed asap as it was very cold out. I was told there were no appointment but she would see what she could do and call me back. Not only did she call back when she said she would but she arranged an appointment that afternoon. The technician,Paul, was kind to my mom and fixed the heater when 2 other companies could not. I highly recommend them as good at HVAC and as a caring business.

Work Description: REpair

Comments: Run. America Home Shield assigned my broken furnace. They came out on the 4th, then a second time, then on the 17th. The tech couldn't find my house and called me and flipped out. And I quote... "I expect the red carpet rolled out for me when I come to fix your heater" - WOW, who says that right? "You need to drive to me and I will follow you to your house. Knowing its been nearly 3 weeks and I didn't want to start the process over again, I swallowed my pride and apologized, and tried to give directions but he talked over me and said 'you don't get it, I hate people."

Then he shows up 4 hours later, looks at the 3 year old unit and says' Maytag, we dont work on Maytag, sorry and leaves." NOTE: 3rd time they came out? Then I call spoke to the dispatch person, very sweet and understanding. I shared my experience and she apologized. I did ask if she could figure out what was wrong since it's been 3 weeks w/out the heater I wanted to give the next guy a leg up. I didnt hear back, so I called at 4 pm and guess who answered? Yep, the same tech. He said we had nothing to talk about and he closed the ticket.

I would not trust this team w/ my wife home alone.

Comments: {UPDATE}: LITERALLY just minutes after I posted this review, guess who decided to call me? Yep! The "owner" he called himself Jeff this time. He actually did provide a reason as to why their service is so trash. He stated "when it's through American Homeshield, we just take our time with those and get to em whenever". He legit said that on the phone. Apparently they look down on folks actually using their home warranty as it was intended. He went on to say he doesn't care about bad reviews because "we still makin money anyway!" He claims the bad reviews actually result in MORE business for him, which is strange logic. He very clearly was upset by the review because he kept bringing it up. He ended by calling me cheap. I guess that's because I originally contracted through my (former) home warranty plan rather than contracting them directly. But that what home warranty is for right? What he doesn't know is that I actually did contract this AC repair directly....through a much more professional, thorough, and highly rated company (Friars HVAC. Use this company instead. Pretty much the opposite of these RR HVAC clowns).
---------------------------------------------
{ORIGINAL REVIEW}.
'll cut right to the chase. This is the most unprofessional, unprepared, least communicative commercial company that I've ever had to suffer. I'm not even sure how they have a license to work. This fraud of a company was contracted through my home warranty program American Home Shield. The service I "received" was so horrendous that I also canceled the home warranty company. The fact that they would recommend a company like this to their customers means that I can't do business with them either.

First, If you ever call to get any update to your job? The "owner" Ricardo, will pretend as if he can't hear you and hang up the phone on you. And it's the worst acting job you've ever heard "hello, huh, *crumples paper* hello?" and then he hangs up. My third grader could do a better job of faking a call like that.

Next, these people don't even tell you when they're coming. They don't provide a window of time to expect em. They don't send a text or call you. They just show up. And if you have follow up appointments, they just schedule em and don't tell you...and then they just show up. If you weren't home? Welp, you weren't home and the delay goes on and on. Oh, and they'll blame you for not being home, even though you never had an idea they were coming.

Let's see what else...My AC unit being down (during that heat wave a couple months ago) meant multiple appointments from them. Each one with the hope that THIS will be the one where they actually repair the unit. Except each new person they sent had no idea what he needed to do. No notes from previous appointments. Means he didn't know what tools or parts to bring. We just happened to be home that time (the 6th visit) and he again, couldn't do anything to repair my AC and at this point, it's 89 degrees in my house and 104 outside. He just kinda nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders and left.

Finally, I got a random text from Debra at like 1am telling me they "ordered the part". I got that text on 16 September. I opened this work order on 11 August. Ridiculous.

When I called to ask for an update after that one, I again got the same "hello? huh" i can't hear you" song and dance from the owner.

I'll say it again, the customer service, lack of knowledge (even of themselves), lack of communication and lack of preparedness is as bad as it gets. I can't even fathom a worse company to try and hire. These people don't even deserve the 1 star that I had to click on this app. A more accurate assessment would have been -1 star. They've got miles to go as a company before they can even warrant a ZERO star rating. Any positive review of this company is clearly someone who works there and should be considered just as fraudulent as the company itself. If you are a homeowner, save yourself the frustration and rage. If your crappy home warranty program tries to task THESE jerks with repairing your anything? MAKE THEM FIND ANOTHER COMPANY. DO NOT GET OFF THE PHONE WITH THEM UNTIL THEY DO.

Work Description: Estimate

Comments: If I could give negative stars, I would. Glad I found this site to solidify my experience. The customer service is awful. I got an estimate to get the whole AC units replaced. When following up, I kept getting routed to the service techs. The minute I started to follow up, I got hung up on. I tried calling back right after and no answer. Then tried calling another day the same thing. The last time I called, service guy didn't let me finish talking and just said "What do you want, what time are we supposed to be there!". Didn't even listen even though my tone was very calm and patient. I will say when the call actually gets routed to the receptionist (Deborah), she is polite and seems to show concern. Stark difference from the service techs answering the phone. What boggles my mind is that this company was referred to us by our home insurance (Home Shield). If there customer service skills are like this, why would you trust them in any other area of the business. Too many other reputable companies out there, spend your time and money else where. Beyond disappointed.

Comments: I can only echo the comments that are on here before. Worst customer service I have ever received. Comments: Worst company I have ever worked with. Extremely unprofessional. I spoke directly with the owner and asked for a simple status update on a job they were doing and then I was told "quit calling, we'll get there when we get there." The owner then proceed to cuss me out over the phone so that was a pleasant experience. The woman I spoke to over the phone initially (think her name was Deborah) was very nice and professional however the owner showed the worst customer service I've ever seen. I asked for his name and he said "it doesn't matter what my name is and I don't care what you have to say on your review, you're lucky someone is even going out to your property." Such a joke of a company. Highly suggest staying away from them. 5 stars all around hahahahaha

Work Description: AC unit assessment

Comments: Rude, Condescending and Unprofessional. easy to coordinate a call at first but When this guy arrived to my house he was condescending and even though I requested for him to wear a mask because I shouldn't have to expect to explain I am immunocompromised he gave me an attitude, and he didn't even acknowledge he was supposed to wear one. On top of everything, I have a big sign on my door to "NOT KNOCK" as I have a baby which woke up due to his insistence on knocking loudly my door when nowadays we all own a smart phone and he could have easily text me. Next, we walk to the back of my house, he is impatient, doesn't even wait for the unit to turn on and he left saying he doesnt need to wait to see the unit working when the was the reason he came for. So this tech was lazy, he didnt complete his assessment and run out the door to his truck to get on a combative phone call with someone screaming right on my driveway. This company needs less than zero stars.

Work Description: Home Warranty Dispatch

Comments: Initially our experience started out positively. We filed a claim via our home warranty company, and RR was the assigned service provider. The technician arrived in a timely fashion and quickly diagnosed a failed compressor. He told us that he would file the appropriate report with the warranty company and that we would have a new compressor within five days. Over a week went by and my attempts to follow up were ignored. I finally called our warranty company and they said the RR technician had classified this mechanical failure as an ACT OF GOD, therefore it wouldn't be covered. Over the next week I made multiple attempts to contact RR, as this claim sounded outrageous. It took six days for someone to call me back, and when she did she was full of excuses for her poor response time. She said that although the technician hadn't technically said act of god, that he had claimed a power surge caused the problem and that a power surge was an act of god. I asked her to please explain how he came to that conclusion, since we have not had any power disruptions, and she refused. I asked to speak to the technician and she refused to have him call me. She then she stated that they actually WORKED FOR MY HOME WARRANTY COMPANY!!!! This explains A LOT! My expectation is that they would be a neutral third party, not in the pocket of the warranty company. Epic fail. Grossly unprofessional and unethical.

Comments: Zero stars! All the “technician could say was “ AHS wouldn’t cover this” over and over before he even explained what the problem was. He was short, unprofessional and condescending. Total collision with AHS to deny. Didn’t even offer to give his services in any way. Stay away from this company and AHS. 30 year veteran FF first responder I know what good service and professionalism is.

Work Description: AC Repair

Comments: Where to start. They were responsive at first, the process then extended over 3+ weeks, then they stopped returning my calls. Not to mention the manager, Mike is only trying to rake you over the coals and not do what is best for the customer.

Debra is amazing. I believe she has the best intentions for the customer. They were assigned to my AC repair through AHS warranty and she was very empathetic and wanted to help. She assigned Dave to come out to our residence to address the issue.

We bought out house 1.5 years ago and have refilled the coolant at the condenser 3x prior to RR coming out. After telling Dave the story and providing context, he saw that there was a massive coolant leak at the condenser. Dave gave me two options, we could do a leak seal and then recharge the coolant or we would need to replace the condenser. Since my condenser was over 10 years old it needed the old coolant that extremely expensive and being phased out. Cost would be around $1200-$1500 all out of my pocket as AHS would cover about $70. Also, he couldnt confirm if the leak seal would work or last.

The other option is replace the condenser, AHS would pay for the unit and I would be on the hook for labor. Approx $2500. I said. Lets replace it as I would rather have an actual solution to the problem. Dave said ok, and that was his recommendation and they will advise AHS.

Little did I know, the whole time I was talking to Dave, the foundation of the conversation was built on rhetoric and I didnt have an actual choice at all.

After back and forth on calls with Dave, then Debra and AHS. This was approx. 20-25 phone calls minimum. I finally was able to talk to the breath of fresh air that I mention above. Mike.

Mike, said, I'm the manager, it doesnt matter what Dave recommends, I saw the pictures and you will need to go forward with a leak seal or his suggestion was that I buy a whole new unit from them because AHS would never approve. He proceeded to quote me $7500, I of course questioned that price. He then said, hold on. He put me on hold for maybe a minute, got back on the call and said, He has one unit left, they are hard to get, he would charge me now $5500 all said and done, but I needed to make the decision today. That may be the oldest sales tactic in the book and work with complete idiots, but to his dismay. Im not one of his gullible idiots.

Ending this monologue because guy and company in abhorrent. I decided to request a second opinion.

Its a miracle. I got an honest contractor assigned. He actually recommended the unit be replaced to AHS. They approved. I paid him $1300 in labor, and it was all completed in 2.5 weeks.

I would avoid this company at all cost. Cheers!

Work Description: HVAC Motor Burned Out

Comments: I too wish it was possible to give less than one star. The company came, determined we needed a new motor, left, and sent us a bill for almost $3K to replace the entire unit. When we called for an explanation they refused to explain the bill and told us they would only speak to our insurance company and to "stop bothering them." It is very, very clear that they are attempting to commit insurance fraud and are the worst service providers that I have ever encountered.

Work Description: No Show

Comments: I wish I could give 0 starts but I don't have that option. RR HVAC was forced on my by my home insurance company. I was scheduled for service 8 AM -12. At 12 I received a call that they would come by 5 PM. I called several times to verify if they were coming after no one came and it was after 4 PM. I called and texted with my number and gate code. After 6 I received a call that the guy came but could not get in the gate and her called me. Totally not true, I have no phone record of a call, I gave the gate code, and between 4 PM and 6 PM someone is always coming in the gate. RR HVAC lied or their tech lied to the boss. Either way, I lost a days pay and still have no AC. Avoid these clowns at all costs.

Work Description: HIRE TO FIX THE HVAC

Comments: I called Ray Ramirez from a Craigslist ad to fix the AC unit. He talk to my husband and he went to the unit and he told my husband that he fixed the unit. When I asked Ray Ramirez to give a detailed invoice about what was done to the unit, receipts for the parts how many pounds of freon were used, price per pound, receipts for the freon used, Ray Ramirez only told me that he only added freon to the unit that he did not fix it. That he could not give warranty when he only added freon and the unit has a leak that it was not fixed. I was very dissapointed as he took advantage of my husband telling him that he fixed the unit when he charged $800.00 for it and he did not fixed. He is threating me over the phone regarding this issue instead of providing the documents that we are asking.
Work was not done as promissed. The repairs needed to be done were not done. Adding freon without repairing the leaks is throw away money. He made my husband to sign something in his phone and he did not provide a copy of what you signed. No warranty was given as the work was not done as promissed.

Work Description: Terrible customer service, half fasted work ethic, and no care for the customer

Comments: The technician came to our house 20 minutes late in a 2-hour appointment window. Therefore we were not able to see him work on the items because we had other plans. The problem was with the fuse that keeps tripping and he only looked at the AC unit even do the furnace and the AC unit are both connected to the same fuse. We paid another 70 dollars to have an electrician come out, per the AC technicians notes, to look at the wiring. The electrician came out, tested both units and the wiring and noted that the furnace is the one causing the fuse to trip not the AC (great job to that company for fully inspecting the issue). We called AHS again, and they are forcing us to pay another 70 dollars because of their RR HVAC INC. tech didn't even inspect all the possibilities as to why the fuse is tripping. This is unsatisfactory and very unprofessional of both AHS and RR HVAC INC. Furthermore, they just called (RR HVAC Inc) me and told me that they were not going to come back out, because, and I quote, "oh, so you want to leave a bad review and still receive our services? We are not going to service your house!" after I already paid the 70 dollars. The individual that called was incredibly rude and unprofessional.
