Description: Punchlist Carpentry was formed in early 2009 as a means for the owner, Tom Endress, to expand his opportunities in the construction field. Punchlist Carpentry was on the job from the very start of demolition to the last of the punch-out work before the project was turned over to the clients. It was this very final stage of work from which the company’s name arose. At Punchlist, we have always had a passion for the later stages of construction in which all the pieces of the puzzle are tied together and the final product is revealed. Tom believes this passion may have grown from working with his grandfather as a child in his home workshop making little wood projects. As Tom got older, his interest grew; he started researching the history of architecture and learning why you find certain pieces of architecture in certain areas, the general rules of proportion and the different orders that were put together by the Greeks and Romans. Coupled with an eye for detail and an open mind based on classical rules, Punchlist Carpentry expanded officially into the residential finish carpentry/architectural trim aspect of construction.
