The crew at PNP are genuine professionals. They know their craft and their technology, and they apply it with objectivity and care. They manage their communications, logistics, and finances well. They are craftsmen and problem-solvers.
Our project (large apartment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side) was not easy – electrostatic paint for 20 quarter-century old tilt-and-turn, aluminum-frame windows. Covered with plenty of old glue and grout. Years of leaks and pane replacements. Surface was metallic and sometimes painted, and we wanted them to be white to match the walls. The window frames were so bad that we considered replacing them. Ian, who we sourced via the Internet and review websites, was confident regarding his high-tech materials and craftsmen and told us what would work best.
Ian noted that, due to the messy condition, we needed preparatory clean-up work as well as the painting, and he priced that reasonably. Then he prepared us well for the process – prep, schedule, materials, and protection. They use sophisticated materials and equipment, and they prepare both the house and its occupants for any inconveniences and requirements. They detailed the exact substances being used, and protected everything. We avoided the apartment during application but had no need to vacate overnight.
Ian’s teamwork with his crew chief is fantastic – Ian has total, well-deserved faith in Billy’s resourcefulness, problem-solving, communication, and final product. And Billy simply makes it happen, even though as painters they must deal with many irregular, pre-existing conditions such as surfaces, substances, seams, and materials.
The finished product is excellent, as Ian had promised. We invited Ian back to take pictures for his website. Now I would consider hiring them for any conventional or challenging paint job – and certainly before replacing something that is mechanically sound.
And they care: when a misaligned window scraped off some of the paint they had applied, they returned to touch it up at no additional cost, even though it was not their fault.
In the course of a major apartment renovation, we dealt extensively with a half dozen general contractors and subcontractors. PNP, Ian, and Billy were by far the best. Work Description: They painted my 2 bedroom apartment in both bright colors and in white and I even had them do a floating square in bright pink in the middle of the living room.
Comments: The job was amazing! I had them do a floating bright pink square in my living room which is very hard to do and it was done flawlessly. They even managed to keep the square straight even though the ceiling slopes down which was incredible that they paid that much attention to detail! i would recommend them for sure
