Comments: We have nothing good to say about this guy. The first day a guy came at almost 11:00 he had no material to do the job and no money to go get it, so we gave him enough to get what was needed.After being late and the going shopping, he left at 3:00.Said he would be back the next day.no one came at all on the second day. NO phone call or text. WE left text messages and finally he returned a message saying the guy would be back on the third day. he said he needed more money to get the rest of the material. we had to oversee the whole job to make sure it was done right.
In the end all the rails have to be secured better they are all wobbly.
When it came tome to finish paying, Cliff told us over the phone he would not take part of the money on a credit card. He told over and over to write a check. We told him we don't use checks and he hung up on us. the called back the the that did the work and told him if he didn't get the money from us he would not pay him.It was finally decided that Cliff would pick up the money the next day.
PLEASE DON'T USE THIS GUY! and save a lot of problems

Comments: ZERO stars! DON'T HIRE THIS GUY! HE HAS A HISTORY OF RIPPING PEOPLE OFF, SHUTTING DOWN HIS COMPANY WHEN PEOPLE START COMPLAINING and FILING AGAINST HIM AND REOPENING UNDER A NEW NAME! Dishonest with a CAPITAL D! First he quoted a price on some painting I wanted done and later he realized he hadn't estimated correctly (Totally his fault!) so he tried to add an additional $1950 for "EXTRAS"! He also failed to have the painter prime the stained wooden doors because he was trying to save a buck. That resulted in them bleeding through and they still aren't right.Second, he sent 2 individuals to do the carpet and the flooring that he later told me were "Drug Addicts"! When I had an issue with them not showing up for 2 days and then not arriving on time he made a few phone calls that were totally ineffective. He was SO irresponsible and shady and was NEVER on the job site to see what was going on. I HAD TO DO HIS JOB! HE DID NOTHING. He took me to purchase flooring materials with his "Contractor's Discount". When I checked out the exorbitant invoices I received I found out I was charged full price and HE pocketed the difference of over $3000 and then LIED about that! Tries to come off as a down home nicey-nice country boy but when confronted turns into a mean, menacing thug. Don't be fooled. Compulsive, Narcissistic Liar that would tell you lie after lie to rip you off. I had to go to the showroom to get the money he stole from me. He was also supposed to replace some siding. RIPPED a piece off of the back of my house (Never returned it of course) disorganized and irresponsible, he totally forgot to order my siding until the last minute and it was too late. And as far as the leak in my bathroom ceiling.... never took care of that either. He never did finish the work I paid him for. I was just glad to get rid of him. CREEPY STALKER that tries to come on to you if you are a female. Be sure to GOOGLE his past. He has many miserable customers he ripped off including a young couple that was building their first home. He didn't pour their foundation correctly, resulting in cracks in the foundation and the house had to be scrapped. The bank foreclosed on them. NO REMORSE. His former company "Oasis Construction" has reports as well as this current one "Choice Renovations". Be sure to check his BBB profiles. Oh! One more thing ... he does not understand the idea that a project should be completed within a reasonable time period. He pays his workers as little as possible, doesn't supervise and the time wasted is more than the time worked. Our next step will be to file against him with the Attorney General and then mostly likely sue him. Save yourself the aggravation. Wish someone had warned me.

However, Clifford, the owner of the company, on the other hand was a rude man, who was friendly when he gave us an estimate that he later changed without telling us he did. He demanded $200.00 more because of a curtain problem he was aware of when he made the bid. He yelled at me over the phone, cussed out one of his sub contractors. Comments: Very good job. Steve did most of the work and did a great job so far. We still have the family room and kitchen to go but everything he has finished painting looks great. Steve has been on the job for three days now with additional helpers who have come and gone. But mostly Steve has done the work. I was expecting it to be done a little sooner had it been more than one guy consistently working but it’s getting done right so I’m happy. I have no doubt the rest of the job will be done great too. Cliff Browning is the CEO and he’s a great guy. The price was definitely reasonable considering we had the upstairs hallway, both kids rooms, master bathroom, kitchen, dining room, family room, wash room and ceilings painted for under $2000. And $200 of that was for the paint. Not bad for the work they did. I will be hiring them in the near future to paint the basement in our new house we are moving into.Newark OH

Work Description: Paid $800 (including paint) for 7 rooms, no trim or doors.
Comments: Utterly unprofessional!! Cliff clearly doesn't know how to run an honest company. Had verbal agreement to paint whole house minus a couple of rooms in an Eggshell sheen (paint included in price, painter used Flat to cut cost). Original painter sent did not tape anything off or use a drop cloth, led to marks on ceilings, carpets, and rooms not being painted completely. Had to argue with Cliff for one of the rooms (the worst one) and a hallway to be painted even though they were part of agreement. When finished with the original job, very few of the walls in the house were completely covered. This is completely unacceptable coming from a "professional." Cliff tried to avoid our calls and delayed several times before finally sending another painter out nearly 2 weeks later. When another painter was finally sent to repaint the whole house, he did not know that he was supposed to bring paint or clean the spots on the carpet- when the new painter called Cliff to get paint for the job, Cliff told him that we would supply the paint, which we corrected them on- he then had to call Cliff back to impress upon him how awful the original job had been and to get permission to buy 2 gallons of paint which Cliff was very reluctant to do. When Cliff eventually came out to look at the work that was done initially he effectively ignored our presence and left without saying anything to us let alone an apology for the terrible job.
