Work Description: chimney repair

Comments: My experience was horrible. Experience began by receiving a low ball estimate with a story line that they were doing work at a local shopping center and I could save on the materials needed as they would combine the order. They showed up began work and then doubled their pricing. Workers had no proper equipment. Worked in the dark until 11:00 PM. Hurried to finish the next day -Sunday. I have had several roofing companies out to provide estimates for replacing the roof. Each one has asked 'who did the brick work', very very poor job. I am now faced with hiring a second mason to correct the poor work. Stay away from this group! They presented themselves under a different name... I had to find their true company name and address by puling a copy of my canceled check.

Work Description: Swindle

Comments: We are a small church located in Grafton, OH. On October 25, 2017 we entered into a contract with Vincent Miller, owner of North Coast Roofing and Construction to repave the entire Church parking lot. The Contract required a deposit of $9000, and was paid to Mr. Miller on October 25, 2017.

They were to begin work in late October 2017. We were asked to delay the job until the Spring of 2018 because North Coast Roofing and Construction felt the weather at that time of year is not conducive for repaving. We were promised that we would be first on their “job schedule” for the Spring of 2018.

We made numerous attempts to contact them in May, June and July 2018. After numerous calls Mr. Miller finally agreed to meet with me at the parking lot location on July 12th. At that time he asked that Church to pay an extra $9,000 or he wouldn't do the work. I requested that he honor his contract for the amount stated. Since he refused to honor the contract for the amount stated in the contract .I requested the $9,000 deposit to be returned. The Contract does not state that the deposit is non-refundable and yet Mr. Miller refused to return the down payment.

We have taken North Coast Roofing and Construction to litigation in Parma Municipal Court and won a default judgement on April 2nd, 2019. They refused to respond to a court summons and complaint. This is public record. I caution anyone from doing business this this company or the owner. If an individual or organization would do this to a small church, they are capable of swindling anyone.
