Description: With over 30 years of being in the tile industry and being involved with the National Tile Contractors Association I have been at the forefront of the tremendous growth our industry has experienced. The continual changes in materials, standards and methods one has had to keep up and the only place one can do that is by being involved and taking advantage of all that is given by the manufacturers and the associations. Those experiences give our customers many ways to get the most out of us, whether it is pricing, knowledge, quality, skill or the confidence we can give customers that we cannot be compared. Comments: DO NOT USE, Sean McCammack left us with two broken tile. Advised us not to wipe off the grout film for 24 hrs and not to walk on it. He offered a discount for cash. We know why now. We’ve had tile work done before. No one left the grout film before. Got the money and ran. Reached out for 3 weeks trying to get him back to replace the broken pieces. This guy has more excuses than the girl on the acne commercials. It’s hard to find good help.

Comments: I’ll start off with the good. Israel did a hell of a job on our herringbone backsplash. Exactly what we wanted. The bad... Jeff’s communication. He said he’s had some health problems... I get it, but completely inexcusable. He said our kitchen would be a 1 day job and would be here at 10 on a Friday. 2 hours late and did let us know. Saturday we were told 9am. I had to continuously contact him and no one showed up until 1. Job still not done. Was told they’d be back Sunday. All. Day. Sunday I called Jeff. Texted Jeff. Emailed Jeff. Nothing. Finally answered at 6pm. He said he was having kidney problems. 5 second text instead of us canceling our entire weekend plans would have been much appreciated. Was told it’d get finished Monday... he actually called and canceled. Job finally done Tuesday. Jeff you said you can’t control some things and I agree with you on that. Communication is something always controllable. The lack of that is simply an excuse.
Jeff, I am simply at a loss for words that your experience was that bad and you have overlooked my history of 32 years with minimal issues with customers. Your detailed response of a time line is accurate but your analysis of what was going on shows no understanding that there was a very big problem and I almost past away at home. I did have emergency Kidney Stone Surgery. While there they found an issue with my heart and from the week we were at your job in end of March/ beginning of April until May 14th I had a total of four surgeries and suffered a stroke. My family and myself have never experienced what went on. I was completely lethargic and finally they figured out what was wrong and executed the surgeries. I just turned 60 years old and I have never been in a hospital overnight nor experienced any surgery. I will have one more a valve replacement. I suffered a stroke and did not know my name for two days and was in ICU for two days taking very strong blood thinners. I have written you personally before but I had to respond after reading your comments that are here and on google etc. I do not want sympathy but it seems you simply did not believe me. At any given day with the lead services I have about 30 plus customers in one stage or another. During this time period of really no contact with customers I have only two customers really upset with me. Your right communication is always a key. But if you really knew what I try to do for everyone and the payoff I get it is really minimal but I live and breath tile. My resume is really second to none and I really do not understand such nitpicking on a job that was under bid because I really did not know or was familiar with the tile you selected. I thought it was on a matte pattern. The extended time was giving you an unrealistic time line, which is my fault. The problems with transportation that the men had was genuine and everyone was very aggravated at the circumstance. But at the end of the day Israel did give you a very good effort while there and his experience of being employed by me for over 24 years got him through the challenge. Obviously you are upset about x, but I think it is a little bit too much and the review process allows one to yield such a sword. At the end of the day your problems were trivial compared to what i was experiencing. I am slowly getting back to doing what I do best and that is giving customers a good experience on every angle and meet their expectations. There is a review on Thumbtack from James Hansen who understood what he really got at the end of the day he sent it three days ago. I do not request reviews very much because i believe most use it to bully others. But you can guarantee that your review has struck a nerve and every customer will get what I always have done but maybe a little more focus and of course better health Lastly I have volunteered my time with what the tile industry offers to make me a better contractor and I have certainly worked it very hard because I love my trade and how it give people such pride. I am not a non communicator by being on several association boards and chairman positions and how I have represented central Indiana tile contractors and always of helped them in any way that I can. My phone has always been open to customers, vendors, competitors etc. I a considered a very good net-worker and salesman who has worked very hard to be the best I can be. I am sorry for the rant but I just have to let some people know that I am completely the opposite of how you are portraying me. As I said and you agreed I or you cannot control everything and yet we do a pretty good job doing 6 to ten jobs a week and making sure everything is a good as it can get. Anyone reading this I would welcome you to review my profile on Networx, Thumbtack, Craftjack, Porch, Home Advisor, Angies List my web site etc. The negative reviews from Jacob and Meghan Phillips was also at this time period. They will be compensated back but I made no money for ten weeks so that is why they have not been paid back. They also filed with their bank which I had to defend myself with my credit card company. Due process was started by their bank and it is a 90 day process, they have withdrawn the complaint and I will be sending them money to return the deposit they gave me just before the hospital stays. FYI I hope in a couple of weeks to send $ 100.00 at every available opportunity but at this time I cannot say every week I can send it. I am really in the whole from such a long time off.
