Work Description: Kitchen Leak

Comments: We recently hired Matters Plumbing for a kitchen leak in a rental property, between the sink and refrigerator. Without checking the refrigerator the technician decided that the leak was coming from the sink cold water line and spliced a new section of pipe into it. This cost me $450 and did not solve the problem. On a subsequent visit he checked the refrigerator ice maker supply line and noted the leak. I replaced the line myself.
Shortly after, the tenant called and stated that the dishwasher was no longer working. I hired an appliance repairman to troubleshoot. He informed me that the plumber had failed to reopen the dishwasher water valve after servicing. That service call cost $233. So now I've wasted $683 total and fixed the issue myself. In the future I'll hire a plumber with better diagnostic skills and enough initiative to fully investigate the issue prior to splicing and compromising the existing pipe structure.
Matters Plumbing has failed to respond to repeated emails and phone messages. Beware folks.

Comments: Terrible service and did not meet my expectations. First of all the serviceman created a lot of mess while reparing the pipes. He came in, he told us where we had a leak and he started cutting into walls without my permission and created a lot of mess on the carpets. Then he went outside to bring his tools and was there talking on his phone for 20 minutes kept us waiting for the job to be done. Then after one hour standing outside looking for the right tool, he shut off the main water outside and he came in and repaired the pipes. When he went to turn it back on, he forgot to close the materbed's water which led to flooding and caused a huge mess in the masterbedroom. We are still collecting gallons of water from the bedroom carpets!!! Anyway, we had a major pipe issue and asked him if he could repipe all the house and he said he will talk to his boss Michael and let us know. He said sorry for the mess he created and asked for $350 and left. When I called Matters plumbing and spoke with Michael in the start he said his service charges were $125 if the job was minor!!! And this was relatively a small job. When I called back Michael again for the payment, he wasn't surprised that his guy charged me $350. Michael said it was his guy's say so because he was one of his best men! After the payment was processed, he even forgot about our major repipe business and never gave us a follow up call. It was really a very bad expiI had with this companyn and I wasn't pleased with the customer service at all. I don't recommend this company to anyone for any service. Even next time I will find professional qualified people who are well trained to do the job. You learn from your bad experiences. I would give zero starbif I could.
Oh I'm sorry at the misunderstanding. I told you that we did not do drywall repair that we had to cut holes in order to find a leak. I don't understand how I'm supposed to repair something without getting access to it. If you think my prices are high call one of these other plumbing companies I guarantee I'm half the price. I pride myself on the quality of work that I give my neighbors you can see from all of my other reviews that the majority of people are extremely satisfied with the work of my company. Again I apologize that you were not pleased with the repair.
