Work Description: Deck staining
Comments: It was terrible. I hired Jesus to STAIN my deck. I started powerwashing the deck myself to save some money, but I ran out of gas. Please go to angi.com and youll see pictures. the first two pictures are of where I power washed vs where Jesus powerwashed (my part was the smooth part). The second two pictures are to show you how small my deck is- and I was charged $800.00!! I didn't have time to search around for other handymen because my deck was, at that point, halfway powerwashed and I was in a rush. Also, I'm a 30 yr old clueless female with handymen stuff, which I'm sure Jesus used to his advantage. But when people came over and told me how much I was ripped off, I asked for him to redo it or give me money back. Jesus was rude and said if I write a bad review he knows what he'll say back- i assume he will respond saying im difficult and crazy the way he did to that one lady below. "One year warranty" is bull because I'm getting nothing back - the proof is in those pictures.Middletown DE

Comments: This was a most excellent family business. I can't believe what beautiful work they did with such efficiency. I had a problem in the dining room where one wall of paneling was is poor condition; it needed more than just a new coat of paint. The son, totally unfazed, came back from Home Depot with new, but different paneling. It actually provided a good contrast to the other walls. I might see if I can get him back for his carpentry skills. The whole house is bright and fresh. Comments: I do not recommend this painter to anyone. My experience with him was not pleasant. He called the day before he was supposed to start the work and asked to start the job later than the agreed upon time because his truck broke down. When we said no because we could not accommodate that based on our schedule, he showed up the next day in a rented Home Depot truck. He then complained to me that he had to spend extra money to rent the truck and if I had just let him start later in the day he would not have to spend that money. He was paid a 35% down payment with the agreement to pay the rest at the completion of the three day job. At the end of the first day of painting he asked me to pay him early in cash to get his truck out of the shop. He asked me to have it at the end of the second day of painting. My husband and I told him no and when he showed up on day two he again begged us to pay him early, so we gave him another installment at the end of the day. His contract said he would remove his tools each day and he left them each evening. His work was unorganized and so we had many rooms incomplete and inhabitable at the same time. Although we paid him the installment on day two, he never showed up in his own vehicle. He pressed us to pay him in cash for the final installment as well. The only pleasant part about him was his wife who came each day and painted the doors and trim. She behaved like a professional. His painting was just fine but we had to point out several mistakes during the painting process. He did show up on time each morning.
