Work Description: Garage cabinetry and concrete staining

Comments: Dean and his wife Amy were pleasant and eager to get the two projects we wanted them to work on. One was removing and replacing a concrete slab and the other was making cabinets for storage in our garage.
The concrete work was mostly completed in August but they did not return to stain or seal it as they said nor was the concrete dyed to the gray color to match the existing concrete. They did a good job on the texturing.
The irritating issue of the moment is that we payed them for the materials for the cabinets for the garage and it has been about a month with no contact after then said that they would be installing a few weeks ago; already a delay of 3 months. The phone number is inactive and they are not responding to emails. We are disappointed in the way that they presented themselves and how they have not performed to those standards of honesty, quality and promptness that they professed.

Work Description: Flooring project

Comments: Dean was respectful and offered a reasonable rate initially on a floor project in my living room. Estimated job was 3 days, however took almost 2 weeks to complete due to staff not being able to make it to my house, and various other excuses. One of the three jobs were not even attempted. Initial contract noted that Dean would purchase supplies, however I found a better deal than what Dean offered. That being said I paid for all supplies. In the end Dean refused to give me back the money that he estimated for supplies ($1,100.00), or the money that should have went to one of the three jobs, but was never even attempted ($500.00). Staff also stole extra supplies that I purchased ($100.00) and was planning on returning to Lowes. Ultimately Dean stole about $1,700.00 from me and refused to attempt to come to a compromise with me. I own rental properties and deal with contractors often, and have never experienced something like this. I will never work with this company, or any company that Dean is a part of. Avoid them at all costs.
Joel accepted the job proposal for our company to repair two areas of dry rot, and to demo the tile floor, including the cement board under the tile in the kitchen. Then replace with particle board sub-floor, and finish with vinyl plank flooring. This bid was for both materials and labor. After agreeing and signing the contract, Joel broke the contract by taking it upon himself to purchase his own material. The product Joel chose was very cheap, poor quality, and not one that we would recommend. Joel was not very easy to work with, and difficult to communicate with. Jackstone Inc made the customer aware of the quality of the material, and as he was aware, Jackstone Inc made a decision at that point to move forward with the project, and complete the job. Upon demo of the kitchen tile floor, problems were found with the cement board. These problems would be cause for additional labor, and time. The customer was made aware of the issues, and the amount of the change order. ($1466.74) This was the sole reason for the job taking additional time. The dollar amount credited to Joel for the material he took upon himself to purchase was refunded in the form of a credit applied to the additional charges in the change order. The members of our team honest, vetted, and committed to completing quality work. While at the end of the project, our team did clean up, and removed the last box of flooring. As soon as we realized our mistake; the box of flooring was promptly returned to Joel. The dry rot areas in the original proposal were inspected and repaired. Fortunately the area in the bedroom was found to be a different issue other that dry rot. That was repaired, and the flooring was replaced. As the work for the second area of suspected dry rot was not as extensive, an additional credit was applied to the change order, and the remaining amount that Joel owed to Jackstone Inc was waived. We communicated all of the above information multiple times to Joel, through conversation, email, & invoices. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Work Description: Concrete Driveways/Floors - Install

Comments: We had an addition added to our existing exposed aggregate patio. It has been two months of trying to resolve the poor quality of work . I have repeatedly asked the owner, Dean Yeager, to come and inspect the finished project. Now their phone is no longer taking calls. They have been paid in full, so I have no recourse . We are having to remove several sections and will be redoing ourselves. They are not listed with the Better Business Bureau in Salem. Very disappointed.
