About us

I started Kodama in 2009 during the economic collapse. I saw a unique opportunity to help fill a gap that had been created during the housing bubble by offering a qualified and affordable construction and remodeling service. It seemed the contractor community had become polarized between highly leveraged (thus expensive) contractors and affordable (but unlicensed and unreliable) contractors. Having built a career as a professional commercial construction manager and being a carpenter, remodeler, and entrepreneur I decided to launch a small construction firm who is professionally qualified and offers affordable and reliable service.

Make no mistake, Kodama is a professional organization. We are licensed, insured, and bonded. We provide a solid cost for your project based on a carefully detailed proposal and we craft a contract that benefits and protects both parties. There are no extra costs within the confines of the agreed-upon contract. We do not “nickel and dime” our customers, in fact, it is policy to go the extra mile and do something extra on our own dime.

At Kodama we believe in educating our clients and our community. Contracting is a complex discipline involving designs, engineering, permitting, insurances, codes, inspections, labor, materials, and skill!
