Ken Smoker started his electrical training in the hills of North Carolina in 1951 during school summer vacation. He came to Virginia in 1954 and completed his training with Smith & Keene Electric Service and Mallory Electric Service.
In 1956, Mr. Smoker obtained his Journeyman's License, In 1961 he obtained his Master Electricians License and in 1967 he obtained his Virginia Class "A" Contractors License.
In 1961 Ken Smoker and his wife Margaret started their electrical contracting business, Ken Smoker, Inc. They worked around the Tidewater Virginia area and the Richmond, Virginia area wiring apartments, offices, restaurants and homes.
Michael Smoker, Ken Smoker's son, started his training with the company during summer school vacation. In 1984 he obtained his Journeyman License, in 1995 he obtained his Master Electricians License and in 2007 he obtained his Virginia Class "A" Electrical Contractors License.
Mr. Smoker and Michael Smoker have a combined experience of 88 years in all types of Electrical Work. They proudly serve the greater Hampton Roads, VA area, including Newport News, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Suffolk and beyond.

They installed six smoke alarms, fixed the doorbell and replaced a light switch, all for a very reasonable price. I already recommended him to my son who will need some work with his new house.
