Work Description: Cut Curb Driveway Install
Comments: James of JTC was the person I dealt with. He was to install a concrete driveway and cut into the curb on the street in order to open the street to the new driveway. The driveway is ok. The problem was the finishing on both sides of the curb cut. Most, if not all, openings into the street are cut diagonally so your tires don't damage as you're pulling in. Mine were cut straight down. When I notified him, he offered to return and fix it. A few weeks pass and finally one of his workers return (I am at work) and rather than cut at a diagonal, he cut further into it straight leaving a gap between the driveway and the curb. I called James as soon as I returned home and he proceeds to tell me that his worker cut further because he did not have the proper tool. It looks worse than it did initially, and not to mention they did not have my authorization. James offered to come back and fix it yet again. Another month passes. James promises to get to it and never does. There were several days he says he'd show. Doesn't call to let me know he can't make it when he's set a date to return. The last excuse was that he had Covid. It had been over a week since he claims to have contracted Covid and he doesn't respond to my text messages. Initially, when I had expressed my concern on the lack of communication and the poor finishing job his worker left me with (I called it a "piss poor" finishing job), he was clearly offended and says that he's already completed the job he was contracted to do and was doing me a favor by coming back. His very last message, after I had sent him a picture of separation, admits "it doesn't look good" and "accepts responsibility for his guy" BUT still hasn't fixed it. This job was done on 11/19. They are quick to start and finish the job so they can get paid but won't come back to correct poor work. James - Remove the video of my home from your site - I was not pleased.Paramus NJ

Comments: This basement foundation repair company was a lifesaver to us! We had been dealing with a wet and leaky basement for years, and no matter what we tried, we couldn't seem to fix the issue. We ran across JTC Paving & Masonry and paul was able to come out to our home in Paramus, New Jersey, and diagnose and fix the problem in just three days. They were professional, efficient, and very reasonably priced. Our basement has been completely dry ever since....very much happy with the outcome... If you are having any issues with your foundation in New Jersey, I would highly recommend giving them a call, Also Considering Having them re-do our backyard paver patio & front walkway.North Bergen NJ

Work Description: Sidewalk
Comments: CAUTION to hire JTC PAVING & MASONRY!Hired JTC Paving & Masonry to replace the sidewalk in front of my house in January 2021, cost of work would be $15,000. The work began, the sidewalk was broken up, a total of 15 slabs, without the proper township permits. To date, April 2021, the work was abandoned and left incomplete. Despite numerous attempts to have the work completed correctly, they refused to meet or call the township inspectors and stopped responding to calls and text messages. In good faith, we paid the company $8,000 upfront, they worked for 2 days and they left the job unfinished. It is extremely dangerous to step outside my home.
I write this negative review to caution other hard working homeowners from hiring JTC Paving & Masonry. In a time when families are suffering great personal losses and struggling to make an honest living during a pandemic, JTC Paving & Masonry are promising good work and instead, take your hard earned savings and move on to the next victim.
JTC Paving & Masonry are totally unprofessional and irresponsible!!!
