Work Description: Interior Painting 3+ rooms
Comments: Hired Isaac to do some drywall repairs, painting and install laminate floors. My granny always said if it sounds too good to be true, it IS too good to be true. I wish I had remembered that before I hired this guy. I had him come to my home to see the repairs that I needed done, and he assured me that he could do the repairs so that the wall would look like new. He quoted me a price that seemed to be a bargain, so I hired him. He started the job a few days before I had to leave town for vacation. He assured me not to worry about my personal property. He promised they would move everything or cover what could not be moved. I was out of town for a week but checked in with him while I was gone. I made it clear that my roommate and I would be living in the house while he was doing the work. He assured me that would not be a problem. I also made it clear that I work from home and when I got home from vacation they would only be able to make a lot of noise after 2:30. When I return from vacation, I saw that the repair job was horrible. It looks like he just threw some mud on the wall and painted over it. It didn’t even look like he sanded it down. He was supposed to repair the seams between the walls and the ceiling and instead of taping it properly, he just used some caulking. He removed my popcorn ceiling, but the machine he used left huge gouges in the ceiling. Things like my flatscreen TV are covered in dust because they were not properly covered and protected. Things like my computer monitors in my office and my exercise equipment have paint on them. My outside back wall that I recently had siding installed and painted is covered in paint from them, rinsing off their paint brushes, but not rinsing off the wall after they were done. The small cracks in my subfloor that he was supposed to level were not filled with anything. I could go on with much more. I wish there was way to add pictures, but I don’t see to do that. Dear yourself a favor do not hire this guy under any circumstances do yourself another favor and go to Angi’s where they actually vet the people they have on their site. Anybody can pay a fee to get on this site apparently.
