Comments: Mario was quick to provide a quote and when selected, he was on the job within a day. Work was completed as promised. The sidewalk is just what was planned and delivered. Was not impressed with the concrete supplier used. He was very late showing up and then the mix was too watery to use. When he came back very late in the day, it did not leave Mario much time to complete the job, but he did. Concrete supplier left a lot of material at the end of the driveway which I had to remove the next day myself.But, I would recommend Affordable Concrete Services for your concrete construction needs.

Comments: Although Mario is very pleasant my experience with his company has not been. Although I have paid a total of $2250 to GTO for labor costs and another $1000.00 to stores and concrete delivery company for supplies which include the cost of the rebar, concrete, mortar, tiles, grout, for I did not get a satisfactory service. There were three projects, one was to raise a 10×20 concrete floor by 4" and although I was assured the finished product would smooth and level, it was not. Mario's solution was to sand out the imperfections but as that would create much unhealthy concrete dust I decided it was better to just install ceramic tile. Thus the second job for which I paid GTO. However when installing the tiles it became obvious that the raised floor was unlevel. When I pointed this out to Mario, he said he could break up and remove the unlevel tiles that he had just installed and install more mortar underneath replacement tiles which he did and although this helped, the remaining tiles are still unlevel in some areas. When I told Mario that I was afraid these tiles would eventually crack he said that he gave me a ten year warranty and he would replace them with the extra I have left over. The 3rd job was the removal of 80 square feet of rotted hardwood flooring and stud braceboards which I helped remove and bag. Then concrete was poured. However, it too was unlevel and even more so than the 200 square feet raised floor and so much more that neither ceramic, stick tile or even clicklock tile can be installed over it. But the worst part is that the surface is is constantly "dusting" which presents a very unhealthy situation for my daughter and me in having to breathe toxic concrete dust. And although Mario has been made aware of the unlevelness and severe dusting, which is caused by inferior concrete work, he has yet to remedy the situation despite promising several times to do so. This unhealthy situation has existed since Sunday November 29, 2020. As the floor is still curing Mario has told me that I cannot cover the floor or seal it to try and prevent the dust from getting into our lungs and he also says that if I try to seal it he will have to sand it off to level the concrete. As sanding will create an even more dangerous situation for us that is not a solution. Mario now tells me it will be after Christmas before he can level the concrete as it doesn't finish curing until Dec. 29th and he says it will then be another 30 days of curing before ceramic tile can be laid. GTO has left my 16 year old daughter and me in an unsatisfactory unsafe situation.Baytown TX
