Comments: Needless to say the service was exceptional as performed by Mike. He clearly explained the problem, potential solutions, the amount of time that would be required and then worst of all the costs. LOL. I was feeling as if surgery was performed without feeling any pain as I knew in advance what to expect. His mannerism was friendly and polite. I felt not only comfortable and trusting in granting access to my home but allowing them to perform something as delicate as bathroom plumbing. I wouldn't trust this to anyone, except a company that could make me feel most comfortable with their qualifications and level of service. I would recommend Mike to anyone with a plumbing problem that requires expertise and skills.

Work Description: Replaced sewer line. Dug up front yard

Comments: I hired Horace to replace a broken sewer line over the winter. They showed up several days late. They didn't do the work properly (they didn't tamp down the soil when they put it back). Now my whole front yard is sinking undoing several thousand dollars worth of waterproofing work I had done to
the front of the house to prevent water from getting into the basement. Now the City is fining me, the neighbors are upset and he won't come back and fix it. Now I've got to spend several thousand dollars hiring somebody new to come and fix the mess he left behind. Sad to see someone I had considered a friend leave me with such a mess.
Unprofessional and ripped me off.
This review makes me think...if a company shows up three days late why would you hire them from the start. That’s false information, the work was performed in a professional like matter. Work was performed in the winter and dirt conditions are different depending on soil type. This is clay type soil that doesn’t tamp like regular soil. The job was back filled and tamp on lifts. Grass seed and straw was installed...after a period of time it rain and ground settled. Returned and graded yard as requested..grass seed and straw applied again. After the winter months with the snow and rain the ground settled because of the soil type nothing to do with craftsmanship. Returned again as requested and there was a car park in front of the yard and couldn’t get moved. Since then returned and graded as requested.

Comments: THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH A CONTRACTOR!!! I PAID HIM $7,000 IN JUNE AND NOW IT'S AUGUST AND HE HAS DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. HE SAID HE WOULD REFUND MY MONEY,BUT NOW HE WON'T RETURN MY MESSAGES!!! HE IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHY PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO SUPPORT BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES. HE WILL DEFINITELY BE SEEING ME IN COURT!!!
Drain Geeks LLC does not do additions to houses...this customer was with a previous company I owned that was affected by the Pandemic and closed. Customer money was refunded in full.

Comments: Do not be fooled by Horace Griffin. He has now opened a “new business” under this name. He was H. Griffin Contracting. He took $3500 from me—-did not finish my job. Had told the Better Business Bureau he would make 2 payments back to me to return partial monies for work not completed —he did not as he promised. He told me 4 times he was coming to work on the job and did not show. He is not reliable and now that I have had another contractor look at work to finish my bathroom I see how shotty his work is. He had another previous company that he surrendered because it was in poor standing. Beware!!! Do your research!!
Drain Geeks LLC doesn’t do bathroom renovations. I served this customer as a friend and was lied to about pricing she received from other companies to get more work than what she paid for. I refunded her $500.00 to stop harassment.

Comments: The contractor game on time, went straight to the sink, pressed a button and our garbage disposal worked. He was great, and even showed us how to do this, if it short circuits again.
All I can say is thank you, and would not hesitate to call them again, in fact they are my first call

Comments: Came when he said he was coming and worked fast and neatly. Buried my sump pump drain as well as my 2 rain gutter exits into one long drain to the end of my property. Graded and then put seed and straw down. Excellent job and very pleasant to work with.
