Comments: Kapeli did a great job on my added RV pad, next to my driveway. He did everything he promised, including compacting the ground... TWICE! Laid quality gravel. Installed re-bar for strength. And spent hours smoothing, segmenting and finishing the final product. The pad is a professional job in every sense of the word. Work Description: Remove and replace patio floor 11x30 plus small sidewalk adjoining.
Comments: Kapeli came over and I hired him and his crew to do the work. They came the next day to start as I requested and their work is excellent and very detailed. The floor and sidewalk look amazing and Kapeli came the next day to seal the concrete and clean up any debris. I would hire him for any project as he is fair and thorough and arrives exactly when promised. I hope to hire him in the Spring for my driveway removal and new one installed. Work Description: Basement walkout, including two retaining walls and stairs, plus patio.
Comments: Kapeli is a genial man and the concrete he pours winds up looking really nice. I'm not sure he's done retaining walls before, because he didn't pull a permit or submit a plan with the city before beginning work. We wound up submitting a hand-drawn plan after the fact. I have no concerns about the stablitly of the walls, but It remains to be seen whether the city will pass it after the inspection they will do on our basement refinish. Also, I would have been more content if he had dug a deeper drain for the landing of the walkout. He said that the drain already around the house would be adequate to carry the rainwater away. If my basement floods, I'll be sure to post it here.If you work with Kapeli, be sure to get details in writing about what he will do and what it will cost, and verify up front method of payment.

Comments: Kapeli is a very nice man. I was surprised at how fast he was in touch with me after submitting my information. Another contractor contacted me after First Desert concrete and gave me a bid over the phone. Kapeli met me at my house after I got home from work. He went over everything he and his crew would do, the materials they would use, etc. His bid was under half of what the other company told me over the phone. He started two days later and finished the next day. It looks great. However there are a few details that I will have to deal with, the main detail or problem I have is a big puddle forms in front of my tool shed when it rains. Hopefully a bit of grinding will re leave this problem.My main advice would be, don't go with anyone who gives a bid over the phone. Have someone come out and go over everything. Try and be there when they pour so you can see they are using the materials they promised. You will never know what's under the concrete once the concrete is poured. Ask for pre pour pictures.
