Work Description: Very disappointed in the work done. He kept claiming that he was doing three coats, but it became very evident that he was doing 1 or 2 coats then skimming over areas for touch up, calling it a third coat. Paint splatters are on my cabinets, floors, appliances, doors, windows, and toilet seats. Plus, they dumped their paint cans in my recycling bags. Who does that?! They left a mess that I am still finding and cleaning up. Not only that, I have had to go back over to paint several of the walls because he missed so many spots. He basically just didn't paint spots that were slightly harder to get to (ex. above doors).

For scheduling, he said that he would be here on Wednesday, but couldn't make it, so his team didn't get much done and thus work was delayed a bit. The last day, they were supposed to be gone by 1pm, but were here until 9pm because they forgot to do two of the rooms they had quoted me for.

On top of everything, they tried to charge me an extra $950 for the lousy job they did because they screwed up their own calculations. Not only that, the attitude I got suggested that he honestly believed he had done a great job. Maybe he will improve over time because it was clear to me that he was relatively new to contracting, but I wouldn't hire him again.

When I first met Valerie in Towson she was very polite and we talked about the project and the color selection. I have her a contract that was accepted based on price and knowledge. The next day for color selection Valerie gave my project manager 15 different colors. She was informed there would be an up-charge. The up-charge was in response to the overwhelming abundance of colors on the project. As we went thru the project, the homeowner continuously added more work to the original scope, hence taking us well over allotted and desired finish time. In regards to clean up. We are always sure to leave a job cleaner than when found. The homeowner was shown existing paint marks on floors and amenities before our work even started. These things are from previous contracts or homeowner projects. We cleaned up everything we could of the existing mess. I do take responsibility for not writing change orders, a mistake I have not made since. All said and done the homeowner used the lack of change orders against me at the end teamed up with the oldest lies in the book at an attempt to get a free paint job that I am sure she is still modeling to this day.
