Work Description: Drywall & Painting Exterior & Interior
Comments: I absolutely do not recommend Jose. Choose anyone else, this is not the right option. Jose was communicative throughout the quoting process and the start of the work. I was happy to see a number of good reviews when booking. He agreed to do exterior work the second to last week in June, and interior work during the last few days in June. Very last minute he changed interior work dates on us to July 1-4. We extended our Airbnb stay and confirmed the final walk-through for July 5. He was hired for exterior house paint, drywall including removal of some existing wall features and creation of a half wall, and sanding, patching, priming, and painting kitchen cabinets, interior doors, walls, ceilings, and all trim/molding. We paid Jose 50% upfront for materials. On July 1 Jose came in and taped off the entire interior, bringing his tools and the paint with him. On July 2 he confirmed the timeline of events with us, stating that demo and drywall would be completed this day and painting and priming would be the following two days. On July 3 we went to the house to see tools still there, but no drywall was complete and sanding and painting had not even been started. Jose confirmed at 8pm that the work was on track for Monday morning. On July 4 both my number and my boyfriends number were blocked by Jose. We have tried calling, texting, and emailing. That evening we went back to the house to find it in the same state as the afternoon before, except the tools had been removed. It is now late afternoon of July 5. We called off a work phone to confirm we were blocked, and he hung up once he realized it was us and blocked the number. We are still blocked on our primary phones. The work has not been completed and we are left in a complete bind - having to cancel movers, extend stays in a hotel, pay extra for appliance storage, and scramble to find a fix. Awful experience.-
