Comments: Dear whoever is researching to find these guys to do your home renovation:Please run away from these people. I would like to give a zero star if I could. They are crooks and liars, and I had to fire them at the beginning of my home renovation projects. I only hired them through my realtor, Terry G., because the contractor was a business partner for flipping houses with him. My realtor worked hard for us to sell and buy our homes, so I trusted him with the contractor. However, I soon discovered that John, the make-believe contractor and the owner of the company, lied about his skills and experiences and sent helpers with no skills or knowledge to do home renovation only to damage my property. The owner finds unqualified people and sends only a few crew daily to the job site, not showing up to direct the work. He tries to avoid speaking to the homeowner because he does not understand how and what the owner wants done to renovate the home.
He went behind my back, tried to cheat the scope of work, bought cheap and wrong materials, and created more mess in my home. He also tried to sneak in a cheap $250 dishwasher with the blue protector film on it without telling me about a Bosch dishwasher they damaged while they demolished my kitchen, hoping that I wouldn't notice. He wrapped the cheap dishwasher in a dusty trash bag with blue duct tape around it and told me that he had just found it somewhere after I questioned him where my dishwasher was.
This guy is a slimy, lying son of a bitch who scammed people for money. I was more than generous to let him keep 75% of the deposit I paid for the project's first phase just to get him off my property. I had to find a reliable contractor to fix all the mess he made. He never owned up to all the lies and damages he made but only blamed his workers, who didn't even do 1/3 of the jobs they were paid to do. I blame all this on my realtor, who knew about this guy inside and out and didn't try to stop me from hiring him. I will never recommend this crook, John McB., and the realtor, Terry, to anyone.
