Work Description: Bathroom and Kitchen Remodel
Comments: We have used Details of Sonoma for two major remodels: several years ago they were the primary contractors on a remodel of both our guest and master bathrooms (both of which still look pristine and operate perfectly), and just recently they completed a complete remodel of our kitchen. In both cases we were exceedingly happy with the end result and with the service, responsiveness, timeliness, honesty, and ethical behavior of this company. David Lucas, who was project manager on our major kitchen remodel, never failed to answer his phone when we called; if he was busy at the time, we got a call back within minutes. He listened carefully to our needs and did not pressure us on any aspect of the job. Both he and the project manager on the bathrooms job several years ago were extremely hands-on and detail-oriented. They did not let up on themselves or their subcontractors until the job was completely finished, not "95% finished" as we've experienced with other contractors. The project steps were detailed carefully and the costs put in a clear proposal. The costs of any changes we wanted were likewise not a "surprise" at the end. We were also completely satisfied with all the subcontractors used by Details of Sonoma, who without exception were experienced, professional, showed up when they promised, and finished when promised. Details of Sonoma may or may not be the least expensive option for a given project, but I found their costs fair and competitive and, most of all, worth it because of their professionalism and good service. Work Description: Addition
Comments: Details of Sonoma completed an addition to our bedroom including a new master bath. We live in a older west county home, so, there were (naturally) complications from old electrical and old plumbing.Details handled everything with professionalism, an eye for beauty as well as efficiency. When work began, we were in the height of El Nino (Jan 2017) and there were weeks with only one sunny day, and the crew would show up.
I loved that the job superintendent gave me practical as well as aesthetic advice. I always knew when there might be an additional cost - usually something I asked for!
The crew were polite, respectful, highly skilled - I can't say enough about their kindness and willingness to answer my questions.
The addition is lovely, with details I had not imagined. The cost is right on target.
As a matter of fact, I am having them back again in the fall to re-do our other bathroom!
