Work Description: Restoration and management of damaged rental property
Comments: When I first met James I believed he was a good willed, good morals, kind Christian man. He talked to me about his over 20 years of experience, his work he did for churches around the community, he had great communication addressing me as sir and seemed very professional and experienced. I have had bad experiences through the wazoo with contractors using illegals and just doing bad work, so I asked him if he used illegals or people that didn't speak english and he told me no. I decided to go with him. I guess I didn't think about the fact that he never actually had me sign a contract from the beginning being a bad thing, I guess you can chalk it up to being too busy and making a mistake. However, the first job he did for me was great as he fixed my fence for a good rate. After I saw that work I was sold and gave him my trust. He told me he would manage everything for me for my rental so I wouldn't have to go from contractor to contractor which that is what I was looking for as I am living in Iowa and my rental was in Pearland. This was great! As time went on I was receiving pictures of all the work, some videos, and I was liking everything. One day I decided to get someone I trust to go and validate everything since I could not be there in person (my brother). That day is when everything changed. My brother called me and told me that the paint he did was uneven, there were drips towards the top, it was splotchy, and not everything was painted. There was paint all over my receptacle covers, windows, door handles and more. The things I paid him for like smoke detectors were not put up, lights weren't changed (14 bulbs were burnt out and people were seeing the property at the time since he told me it was show ready) out when he told me they were, garbage was shoved under my porch instead of hauled off as I requested. Some of the garbage was left in the front yard and not taken off as my property was being shown because I was told it was ready. I paid him over $600 to clean the place and the place was never fully cleaned. I paid him over $300 to get rid of the cockroaches and he didn't get rid of even half of them and he told me a pest company would have charged me more, yet after I got a pest company to do it I found out it was less than 50% of the price he charged. After calling him out on all of this, he then started to avoid my calls, become very abrasive, wouldn't meet with my brother to go over his work and had every excuse in the book. He kept putting me off and then when we finally got him to go fix some of the items (the paint) he didn't actually fix it and it was just as bad as the first time. Eventually I was so frustrated that I didn't want him stepping foot on my property since everything I was being told was a lie. He sold me on quality of service and all this mumbo jumbo, fronting as a Christian (I am too) and quoting bible verses he lived by yet he became the most dishonest, rude, and sketchy contractor I have ever dealt with after I had his work inspected. He even had the audacity to tell me that I violated our contract, the one we never had by the way, because I brought in a "3rd party" to work for me. The 3rd party he was referring to was my brother coming in to validate his work since I could not be there to do so. This man is a FRAUD. He is dishonest, sketchy, immoral, and he is far from a true Christian by his actions that he portrayed to me. Don't let his biblical demeanor fool you, as he will rip you off through and through. He clearly is capable of doing work but he subs everything out as soon as he earns your trust. At least he did with me anyways. Then he does not oversee any of their work and lets them do whatever the heck they do without any proper management. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN. He does not deserve to be in business after the crap he pulled with me. I sent him a letter for a refund for the work he was supposed to complete for me, that he never did, after his idea of refunding me money. He never did refund me a dime and I haven't had time to pursue a civil lawsuit to sue him for his dishonesty that I have recorded in text messages and emails. I hope you change your ways James and actually become a humble, charitable, Christian man that you front to be because God knows everything you lied about to me and you will have to face him and explain yourself one day.Katy TX

Comments: DID NOT FINISH JOB IN ONE DAY LIKE HE SAID HE WOULD. GAVE HIM 160.00 FOR MATERIEL THAT WAS SCRAP FROM HIS HOUSE. LEFT EVERYTHING A MESS.
