Work Description: Complete refinishing and repair of badly-weathered deckComments: This was a job much bigger than what was quoted and I got charged $1800 over the quote. The actual work done on the deck was very good. One coat of primer and 1.5 coats of solid stain. 1.5 because the second coat was applied less than 24 hours prior to a multi-day, forecasted heavy rain storm, causing the final coat to be mottled in appearance. Were it not for the .5 aspect, I would have rated the deck as excellent.
It took longer to complete the job than expected. At one point I was left with a partially completed deck for a week plus so that they could start another job.
Pete promised me he would return to replace the items that were attached to the deck railing (various brackets) *and* to reset a fence post he pulled without consulting me so that the painters could have better access to the grillwork between the deck and the ground. Despite a reminder phone call with voice mail message left, this work has never been done and the fence post remains out of the hole. I am consequently very disappointed, since I (foolishly) paid in full before his promised return visit to tidy things up. Moral: Never pay in full until the job is done.
Up to the point where the second stain coat was damaged by the rain, I would have given an excellent review. They just didn't finish it off right - like they got tired or bored with the job.

Work Description: I needed my whole roof replaced due to leaks. It started during the ice build-ups during the past winter and, after I saw new evidence of continued leaks during the heavy storms this summer and early fall, I knew I needed to have repairs done.Comments: After coming to my home on a Sunday evening in order to work around my schedule, I received the quote and had the entire project completed within 2 weeks.
