We tried caulking them ourselves, but eventually realized it was better to upgrade and have our windows replaced. Once we got financing we shopped around and settled on elite. It took about 3 weeks for the windows we ordered to come in, and the following week they sent a crew out to do the installation. It has been a little over 2 months since they finished and the difference is night and day. 0 drafts. I DONT need to have the heat cranked up anynore, and I actually can enjoy standing in front of the window to watch our bird feeders. Comments: Where to begin...a young man came to give me an estimate. It took about 30mins to go over and sign all the paper work. I gave a deposit for a third of my cost for services. 3 weeks later I still didn't hear from them. I triednumerous times calling all 3 numbers and leaving messages. Finally got ahold of someone. I was told there was a shortage of white gutter. Really?? It would be approximately another week. 2 weeks later I still heard nothing. Called again, was told it would be looked into. I confirmed that they had my phone# and address. 3 days later I still hear nothing. That Friday I called again and left yet another message, that if I didn't hear from them by the end of the day I would be filing fraudulent charges against them with my bank. The bank found my claim legit and returned my money. My bank also gave me paperwork to file a police report about this company. In 6 weeks time and leaving numerous messages, this company never even returned my calls. They thought they were going to rip me off, I guess. They are bullshit losers !

Comments: I want to start off this letter by stating that I am extremely unsatisfied with the level of service, and quality that your company has provided us.We met with Jake initially for our sales demonstration. Jake was pretty good, went through attic said we would need to replace roughly 6 sheets of plywood for the roof. He assured us that the crew that was going to be doing the roof would inspect all of the wood and replace anything that was bad. We then told Jake that we just want the job done right, we didn’t care if all plywood needed to be replaced, we would pay for any additional fees related to that. He then again assured us that Elite was not just a fly by night roofing company, but rather a full service company which would handle all aspects of job and that if there was anything wrong with the roof that they would fix it at the time of installing the new roof. He then went into putting down 6 sheets of plywood into the contract and stated that if there was more that was needed that the job foreman would call and let me know. Jake then went into detail about how the owner of the company, Eric, was such a stickler for a clean job site, that all crews have a dedicated person for picking up nails. They have a magnetic roller that they are constantly using to make sure there is little to no nails left when they were done. He explained that they have two crews, one for roofing and one for gutters/trim/soffit. Both jobs would be done one after another over two days. All of this sounded great and we were feeling great about our $13,000 investment with Elite. We paid our deposit and waited for our install timeframe.
I received a phone call in the evening from Will who said they just had an opening with their roofing crew for tomorrow morning, and asked if that would work for us. We were excited to get into the schedule so quickly so we agreed. Will said that we did not need to be there during the process and that the foreman would walk us through everything after they wrapped up for the day.
Later that day, we got home, the roof had been replaced, but the whole crew was gone. We didn’t get any follow up phone calls stating the roof was done, or when the next crew was going to be there, how the job went, etc. Naturally we started inspecting the roof. We noticed several things immediately:
The entire roof looked like it was sagging in several spots
The ridge vent went all the way to the edge on one side, but then stopped about 6” away on the other side.
There were handfuls of nails all over the driveway and the grass
We waited for someone to call us about the job being completed, but that never happened. The next call I received was from someone else on your team saying that the gutters, soffit and trim would be installed on Tuesday the 17th of September. I asked if I needed to be home for them to do the job and they said only for the end portion. The gutter crew completed the job and during their “clean up” knocked on the door to see if they could have any trash bags to clean up. We gave them a whole roll of trash bags. The man in charge knocked on the door and said they were done. I said the soffit vent still needed to be replaced with a new white one. He said, no it wasn’t in his work order and if I wanted him to he could spray paint the old one white for me. They then left. After they left we inspected the work, the trim looked like it was put up by a 5 year old, and has hammer marks all over the aluminum. The corners were not even bended fully into a right angle they were just rounded and crimped. The trim was pieced together and really noticeable in several places. I then found a large pile of screws in the driveway and another large pile of screws in the grass. Along with the screws I also found a DEWALT hack saw. So all in all I would say between the screws and the nails from previous job, we had approximately 50 nails/screws left in the driveway and grass. These all are not the end of the world, but for $13,000 it is not what we were expecting.
We then waited as we knew that someone was going to review our whole project, and as Jake said initially, we do not pay the final payment until we are fully satisfied with the completed job.
During this waiting period we had other folks look at our roof project and they agreed that not only did the roof noticeably sag in areas but the workmanship of the project was really shoddy. The installers didn’t remove the old drip edge, but instead installed the new drip edge over top of the old. Thus causing shingles to bump up at the ends of the roof. We looked in the attic and only 2 pieces of plywood were replaced. During investigation in the attic we then noticed that the plywood was not even touching the rafters in a couple of places which if someone walked on the corner of that sheet, they could fall through the roof. So at this point we have:

Only 2 sheets of plywood were replaced
No actual inspection was done of the roof before putting new roof on, as plywood was not touching rafters.
New Drip edge was install directly overtop of old drip edge
No job foreman has been in touch.
Finally after two weeks, fourteen days, I finally called the Elite office to see if anyone was going to contact us about our job. No one in the office knew of our project and they promised to call me back after 2pm with more answers. 2pm came and went with no call. I then waiting another full day and finally called back again. This time someone said yes, the foreman of the job will be out to go over all of your problems and review your job. They scheduled the foreman to come out on Saturday October 5th at 8:30am. Great, we were finally going to be able to talk with the foreman of the job to go over all of our issues.
Saturday 8:30am comes and who shows up, Jake the Salesman, NOT the job foreman. What is the point of sending Jake who wasn’t the one that actually did the work, or actually can inspect the job done. Jake says he has 25+ years experience, but that is as a SALESMAN not a job Forman.
Jake then goes through some double speak about the sagging roof and says they only check to make sure that the wood will hold nails and that is it. This is the complete OPPOSITE of what we heard previously about hiring a company that would handle all roofing needs to make sure we had the best roofing project done. Jake then goes to say that he himself isn’t happy with the way the trim looks and would talk with someone about that. Jake then says that “it doesn’t hurt anything” when drip edge is installed overtop of old drip edge, but he would talk to someone about that as well. We then asked Jake why it took over two weeks and me calling to get someone out here, he dismissed the question and said, “Well I am here now, so lets focus on that”. So Jake then proceeds to write up a list of items that he says were our complaints and that he would put in a service request for them. After he made the list, he then asks for the final payment for the roof. We stated that we would supply $4,200 of the final payment, to which he said…. You need to pay more than that, these items you listed are just service related items not related to the job itself… !! We finally settled on paying $6,500 of the total $8500 remaining. Jake left with his words being, I promise I will call you Monday and we will have all of these items taken care of asap for you. Monday came and went with no call, no email, no communication what so ever from Jake. On Tuesday I then texted Jake saying this lack of communication was unacceptable. Hours later on Tuesday I then got a voicemail from Jake saying he had already put in the service orders and someone would be calling to schedule and he would be out for Jewish holiday…
We finally got a call Friday October 11th stating that the gutter crew would be out on Monday to address issues with “Porkchops”. I asked what about the soffit vent as well, and Will stated we have another “guy” for that. One that is a little more affordable, we don’t send out who we normally would since your project is small. So we now have a crew for roof, a crew for soffit vent and a crew for gutters and trim. I then proceeded to ask what time Monday and the girl on the phone said she would call me back with a timeframe later that day. Well as you can guess, no one ever called back with a timeframe. Monday comes and I took off work to be there for the crew to make sure it got done right. I had a doctors appointment from 8:45am - 9:30am. Apparently the crew arrived at 9:00am with no clue as to what to do, saw my 11 year old son waiting for the bus and asked where I was. He told them at the doctors and he would be back soon. The crew then left. No one once called me or contacted me. When I got home I did not know they had already been and left, but called the office to check to see if they were coming. The lady said I was on the schedule but she would have to get ahold of the crew and call me back. Several hours go by and I had not heard from anyone so I called back. This time the lady said the crew was there, didn’t know what they were suppose to do, so they went to another job and they would be back later in the afternoon to fix the trim. I waited all day and no one showed up or called. Then this morning Tuesday October 15th I get a call from Elite asking if I was going to be home for the crew to come out. I told the girl that I had already taken off work and I wouldn’t be home until 3pm. She then said, she was going to get in contact with the crew to see if they could come at 3pm and would call me back no matter what. Well it is now 5pm and again, no call, no show.
The entire process with Elite has been painful to say the least. We will be posting our story to all public venues in hope that other individuals do not fall for the deceptive practices and shoddy workmanship like we did.

Comments: Cannot say enough about Elite Remodeling. They did my roof first and not only was it done before I anticipated, the workers were finished before I knew it and it wasnt a small job either . A few months later they removed and installed a new vynal deck for me . Once again I was blown away by the quickness of not only the start of the project but it was completely finished in 3 days .
