Comments: During hurricane ian. Our air conditioner started dumping water all over the carpet. Was only 5-6 years old. Installed by captain cold. We knew that after the hurricane we would have to have someone check it out. We called captain cold. They said they would send someone out. We waited all day long. Boone came. My wife called back. Boone picked up, went straight to voicemail. So she called another company. The guy gave us a few hour window. He did show up an hour late. But at least he came. Better late than never. You guys on the other hand called us back 3 days later. Uh yeah you guys had made an appt with us the other day. We're just getting in touch with you. Comments: We purchased an AC unit in Aug 2021 from Capt Cold Cooling. It was sold to us by Rick Sanford. He was a very hard sell, and kept cutting the price and said he wouldn't leave until we gave him a yes or no. Installation was delayed due to his having COVID. Once the unit was installed, we were advised they would come back and enclose the ducts from the unit to under the house. After 3 attempts they used insulation and coated it with a rubber substance, that is now cracking and looks horrible. The unit is not keeping the house cool, we regret replacing our old unit. We've had them back several times, and it's always the same, they say the unit is running fine, it's just that it's so hot out and the house isn't insulated properly, which is obviously not the issue, as the previous much older unit was able to keep the house cool when it had the right size compressor. I called again this week for service, as Rick told us when he sold the unit we had a 1 year service agreement. This time my call went to a voice mail with no recording. I called back and Kevin answered, when I told him my problem, he informed me had purchase the name and phone number from the old owner, however he did not purchase the service contract and we would have to pay a service call fee. When he arrived, he was very pleasant and friendly, advised the unit was operating properly, and it's just unable to keep the house cool during the heat of the day due to the heat outside and the unit probably should have been a bigger unit than what we were sold. He adjusted the vents and said that should help a little. After reading all the reviews on line, it appears that both Ricky and Kevin are both owners. With that said, it seems that our service agreement should have been honored, and at the very lease, they should come back out and complete the job, by fixing the horrible enclosure and refund the service fee. Very disappointed in the way this has turned out. I feel that they both told us what they thought would shut us up, and the confusion as to who really owns the company and who should honor the warranty and service agreement was very deceptive.Cape Coral FL

Comments: This man tries to be a professional con artist! He is NOT currently liscensed to practice AC or any other service based job (plumbing, general contractor, etc.). He lies from the start, promises the customer the best experience and then hands them a bag of crap. He is happy to take deposits written out to him personally and not the company. When I wanted my despiser back he did not remember that I was a customer! On top of that I had to send a certified demand letter for him to understand I wanted my money back on my time not his. He has taken a business his father built for over thirty years and is running it into the ground because of his insidious business practices. Please note again his business is NOT currently liscensed to do any service work!!!!! Please be cautious! It is very obvious from the other reviews he continues to make poor choices for his business. Please know that even if he offers you an asking deal over another business, DONT TAKE IT!!!!!! Please do not make my mistake.Fort Myers Beach FL

Comments: Anytime we have needed something to be done at our house Rick and Kevin were there for us. They have installed an AC unit, repaired hot water heater and any other problems we've had in our new house. There was never a problem with time for they were always on it. Their work is impeccable and it's always a pleasure to deal with Captain Cold. Not always do you get professionals to do a job. Maybe that's where some of you went wrong.Please let it be known that we are very satisfied and happy to know Rick and his company.
