Comments: Just today I had another piece of siding fall off of my house. Severe lack of quality and communication. Would NEVER do business with them again.

Work Description: Windows

Comments: When I ordered these windows the name of the company was EchoView Madison. The company had since changed its name to WeatherSealed Wisconsin and Badgerland Bath. One of the former sales men who is no longer with the company told me the company changed names to try and hide all the bad reviews. This experience has been a nightmare.
In February of 2021 my wife and I decided to order new windows for our bedroom. We got estimates from a bunch of different companies. The two most interested in the project was Home Depot and EchoView of Madison who presented themselves as a company that specialized in windows. EchoView got the price close to the Home Depot quote. Even though it was a little more expensive we went with EchoView since they were a company that specialized in windows, right? We did the order and paid for them. I was never given a contract despite repeatedly asking for one.
So the windows were ordered in February and we were told it would be about 6 weeks until the windows came in. We wanted the new windows in before the summer, that was why we ordered them so early. I gave it a while and in June began calling EchoView. No one would give me any answers except that the windows had been ordered. I must have called a dozen times with no answers. At this point it is getting warmer out and I’m starting to get upset since it was 30 below zero the day we ordered the windows.
I was finally put in contact with one of the owners name Jennifer. To get to Jennifer I had to threaten to report this matter as a contractor fraud. She kept assuring me she would find out what was going on but would never call me back. I called repeatedly for a couple of weeks with vague promises of someone calling me back. No one ever did. At one point I was told the windows were shipped from the manufactures on June 9th, four months after they were order, really? Then I got the run around again from Jennifer and the company.
I called the sales man I bought the windows from. He was no longer with the company and told me the new owners were in over their heads and were running the company into the ground. He also told me they had changed the company’s name to WeatherSealed Wisconsin and Badgerland Bath.. I checked with my bank and the check I paid them with was cashed shortly after the I ordered the windows in February. I began to call Jennifer again leaving messages about how I was ready to contact the police and report them for contractor fraud. I also informed Jennifer that I knew her company was in violation of WI ATCP codes such as providing a contract and providing a timely notice of delays.
Finally Jennifer called back and told me she was looking into what happened to my windows. She told me that two windows had been ordered but they could not find them. Then she told me the size of the windows ordered and they were huge! They ordered the wrong size despite having 2 different people from the company come and take measurements. At this point I was angry, it was July and the whole point of getting the windows was to have them in the for warmer weather. I kept asking for a contract and was repeatedly promised one. I never got a contract. Jennifer promised me she was going to make it right and tells me she found some windows that would work but they will have to cut into my walls and make the opening bigger since the windows are wider. She tells me it will add about 4 inches on each side. I agree because my room is roasting and I just want the windows in. I take off work so I can be there when the crew shows up. This is now in July, five months after I ordered and paid for the windows. The crew doesn’t show up until 11am. When they did show up they had windows that would have added more than foot to each side of the window bay, over 2 feet total!! The windows were not even close to the size Jennifer said they would be and I did not want windows that big. I called Jennifer and said no way am I excepting these windows. She then told me she found some others that were shorter but not as wide and they should have only added a few inches on each side. The installers leave……and they don’t come back until 4pm. Glad I took a whole day off from work. They tear up the side of my house and get the windows in but don’t finish. I repeatedly told them to make sure the header was extended since the windows were wider. If the header are not right in years to come my roof could sag. I was told the existing headers were build wide and did not need to be extended. I hope this is true and I don’t have that problem in the future. That day they worked until close to 10pm and at least got the windows in. There was still holes in the siding and the dry wall. They said they would come back in a few days. We had a huge rain storm before they came back but I was able to cover the holes.
A few days later the crew comes back. We get them drinks and pizza and they again work until dark but they don’t get it done. They were missing a molding strip on the outside of the window and the inside still needed to be finished. They tell me they are coming back and the installers want me to go direct with them on getting it done because they know we had problems with the company. They leave that night in July and never come back. I went direct with one of the installers from July to mid-September. He made a lot of promised but never shows up. By mid-September I was pretty sick of the run around from the installers. I start calling Jennifer (Owner) again and she made all kinds of promised but never followed though. This goes on until mid-October. I contact Jennifer and tell her I will be filing complaints about what has happened if she does not get the window finished. She promised me it would be finished and said a crew would be there to finish it yesterday afternoon. I took off work early to be there and guess what? They never showed up.
Working with this company has been an absolute nightmare and I wish I had never heard of them. It has been almost 8 months since I ordered and paid for these windows. I have begged and pleaded to get them finished and just keep getting the run around when someone actually calls me back. My patience is gone. EchoView Madison, WeatherSealed Wisconsin and Badgerland Bath have done nothing but get this wrong over and over again. I never got the windows I ordered. They ordered the wrong size. Then after a compromise was reached they sent the wrong size to my house. Then I had to accept a 3rd size that was at least close. They tore up the side of my house and now won’t finish the job.
The company was called EchoView Madison when I started this mess. At this point they have had close to 9 months to get 2 windows put in and the job still isn’t done despite me begging on a bi-weekly basis. The company now has 2 different names. One is WeatherSealed Wisconsin and the other is Badgerland Bath. All three companies are run out of 1922 S Stoughton Rd, Madison, WI 53716. Do not use this company!!! It is a nightmare!!! This company should be investigated and prosecuted.

Work Description: Scam. Stay Away!

Comments: We paid them $5000.00 on 1-30-2021which was half of the total of $10,000 to re-side our house. Tyler, the owner, came to our house in January and explained there was a delay in siding products and would not be able to do this project until late March or early April. Its now August and our siding project still has yet to start. Very poor communication from Tyler or anyone at EcoView. When Tyler did text, or email, says he now can’t get the product and has no eta. Tyler decided to go with a different company for our siding products and assured it would be within 2 weeks, or drive to Michigan and get it himself. That was 2 months ago and now says he can’t get that product either. He told me back in April that if we picked a solid color soffit, he could do the work immediately. Once we learned the 2nd product was not going to come in, we picked a solid color as asked but now we cannot get a commitment from Tyler or from EcoView to when this project would get started. Now on Facebook, his personal page shows he's the owner at Weathersealed Wisconsin and also Badgerland Baths. On July 15th, My wife and I requested our $5,000 be refunded, with interest or this project started on or before August 16. To this request, Tyler has not responded, as he usually doesn't, and our re-siding project has yet to be started. Its now been almost 8 months that we continue to pay a monthly home improvement loan with no siding start date in sight. Update: Our money was eventually refunded. We were mislead and now with the company name change, we now realize we were taken advantage of by Tyler Hansen and EcoView of Madison WI. We, as homeowners, reported them for contractor fraud. Steer clear of Tyler Hansen and EcoView of Madison, Badgerland Baths, Weathersealed Wisconsin, EcoView of Southern Wisconsin, or whatever their name is this week. Update: I've now found at least 4 name changes for his business in the past 8 months. I also learned they have no employees. Everything is sub-contracted out; to which, he doesn't pay those sub-contractors or his material supplier and therefore the huge delay. I've now realized this was our delay.
