Comments: HORRIBLE experience. Cregg, The owner, called the crew while they were working on my floors and told them to stop work until our invoice was paid. Who pays for work before it is complete?! Unprofessional and very rude. I give them a review of 0/10... #AmericanNightmareFlooringClayton NC

Work Description: Hardwood floor installation and refinish.
Comments: If I could give this company 0 stars I would. A job that was supposed to take 2 weeks had led us to months of destruction and despair. We had no idea that trying to make improvements to our home would lead us down this path. It has been a nightmare. Our house has been a mess, the improvements we were making devalued our home instead. Our lives were turned upside down and the cost ( financially and mentally) have been taking a toll on us. The company and workers we blame pride themselves on quality work ( read some of there posts/ claims). This isn’t the case at all! American Dream Flooring should not be used or trusted!!!! We gave them the opportunity to rectify the wrong. They sent one man ,Manly Turner , out to our home to fix it all. He might be a great man; however he is not the “ right man” for every job. Every time something was “ fixed” something else got damaged in the process. Cregg Henson,the owner didn’t check on the workers or who was doing the work on our house the first time which is how it all went wrong. He promised to send his crew that has worked for him for years. That crew decided to sub the job to someone else ( Cregg didn’t even know). There were young children here as well. They were here to put hardwood floors in and refinish the existing. In the process our house sustained uncalled for damage ( furniture, walls, doors, appliances, fireplace hearth, etc. ). The floor job was so poorly done Cregg did hire another group to resend and stain. However, we wanted it relayed. It was not done correctly. He said no. The stairs which looked worse then the dirty carpet I had on originally looked better than what we were left with. But, Cregg once again said he wouldn’t redo them. Please know I had been more than patient withCregg and his workers trying to “ patch “ things up. Asking them to leave after months was enough. Patches just don’t cut it. For the money, time and aggravation our house should have been left in a better state then before- hence improvements.American Dream Flooring has not rectified their wrong and do not deserve your business. Beware!
