Comments: He is a complete fraud. He is not a contractor and his business is not active in state of FL. He hardly worked 3 hours a day, he made a horrible mess in my house because he did not cover anything. He came begging for more money before the job was completed. On the 12th day he comes to me and tells me the job was done. It wasn't done. he left grout sit on the tiles for over 5 days and on the 12th day he grouted the travertine on the floor and said he was done. I wanted him out of my house so, I decided I would clean the grout off the tile myself because he said he was done and I was afraid if I pushed him to do it he would make more of a mess. I spent about 7 hours and lots of grout remover and the travertine and marble accent tiles still have grout on them and very dull and hazy. I called a tile and grout company and they came and told me that he ruined the travertine. He did not seal the travertine before he grouted it and also he used a sanded grout. He ruined over 2000.00 worth of travertine and marble that we purchased. I was told it would have to be taken out and redone. Karl does not have insurance and nor will he answer phone calls or text messages. I have several pictures, if anyone would like to see them let me know and I can try and post or email to you.

Comments: This man is a fraud. He is not an electrician and has messed up my electrical work which has cost over 13k to fix. He took the money and ran. He never completed anything and his work had to be all redone. Do not hire him. I will be filing many suits against him.

Work Description: Install hot water heater, bring electrical up to code

Comments: Karl installed a new hot water heater for me and brought the connection up to current code (it required a new type switch to shut off the electrical) on that and another hot water heater. He is a hard worker, keeps the job site very neat, and is very punctual. The bad review below, also on the BBB site, was due to "scope creep" in a job that went on and on and on. The BBB site explains this in more detail and I read it all. Not his fault IMHO.

Comments: This contractor was hired to do a job that was never completed. He took a deposit of 6000.00 to purchase products which was not purchased. His work was not up to standard and we had to hire a new contractor to redo the limited amount of work he did. Karl was expereincing hard times and when asked for a return of 5000.00 he told us he spent the money on his personal bills. Work he had done for another member of the family had to be redone as well. He claims he is an electrician but he does not appear to have the qualifications for the work. A complaint was filed with the Better Business Bureau. Be cautious if you hire this contractor.
Why rich people think they always right despite the fact they lie. 6000 security deposit cover my material to build outdoor kitchen with the hood and exhaust system, new GFCI outlets, switches, recessed lights, gas hookups, build 18ft high wall, everything paid and installed by me. Work time span about 4 weeks. There was more to do, but, after small back injury and 4 weeks experience with the owners, I quit the job. This is where I felt lucky getting the deposit first, otherwise I probably could end up doing everything for pennies by being held hostage by owners. I felt sorry for them not doing the second stage, installing ceiling panels 18ft high, so after that I installed some outdoor lights and sensors for them, for free, strangely they want me to do more electric work, which, as a handyman electrician with 26 years experience was just the formality. After all of that They felt they are in title to get $5000 back, and even after shoving them all material and labor calculations, they still insisted I have to give them back that $5000. Please, as a potential client try to understand that we have competition and families to support, be real and keep you expectations real.
