We've been in business since the 1960's. My father started with one truck, two employees and a dream. In 1981 he allowed me to take over day today operations. I still live by the standards set by my father, the customer is not obligated to give anyone a job. I'm obligated to earn the job and to make sure the customer is not only taken care of from day one but also the customer is my boss. I work for the customer and it's my duty to go above and beyond what everyone else does. A menu of additional service provided by us are listed below:

Work Description: Pavers - Patios, Walks & Steps - Install
Comments: Never showed up on time or came when he promised. Had some personal issues. Understandable but if you are in the middle of issues why take the job or not resign. Dragged me along for months for a 1/2 week job. Smooth talking. What little was started, was a safety Hazzard the way he left everything thrown around. The stone was unsafetly piled as a rough partial outline when someone trippped on it and got caught up in materials. Had to be reszued. Gave him too much money to start. With my money he bought stone all uneven, cracked and different colors that did not match my house. Sharp edges so if a car hit it there would be tire or body damage. After waiting months his truck broke down and blammed me b/c he was hauling my stone. Wanted me to purchase him a new truck. The safety Hazzard was so bad and the horrible job that was being done I finally fired him. Should have done it months ago. Hired another company that now has to dig up the concrete he poured. Take away these cheap, but for me expensive stones. Some stones in a sloppy manner with mortor everywhere must be dug up. So many more disbeliveable events took place with AHRENS I was glad I found a professional. BTW, he left with my money and left this mess in and around my garden. Raw stone down part of the drive and sidewalk still a safety Hazzard. Costing again to fix this catastrophe is rediculous. But I have a professional now.-
