Work Description: Painted interior and Cabinets

Comments: After the free estimate and walk through we thought Courtney had gotten everything down, she seemed to understand and advised on some paint types to be different between the walls and moldings even if the same color but different type. We had a few other bids but ended up going with Courtney. We had some reservations and sure wish we listened to them. I had asked Courtney to meet me at the house before the work began to go over everything again and she was too busy & just text she understood colors etc. Upon going in the house when painter was there prepping and doing the trim I had asked him if the wall would look darker than the trim though the same color and told him what Courtney said. He said no it will be the same, the type of paint does not matter. The color swatch she showed us we picked was actually a lot darker than the actual paint so we had her come back & add more tint to the paints to make them right. She did correct that quickly. Then came the problems, I told her I wanted all the hinges removed from the cabinets before painting as the painter asked if he could paint over them! I was not happy that was even a consideration of a pro painter to ask. That is painting error 101 you dont paint over hinges. After much back and forth she had them remove the hinges. The painter still argued it was not needed but I had to push they needed to be removed and put back on. Then when it came to the end, I walked through and noticed ALOT of messy paint. Excess drips on the trim and cabinets that needed to be sanded smooth, areas that were missed and it messy paint on the doors where the handles were . I had asked the handles be removed but if SOME were stuck it was fine to cover them but they did not remove any knobs at all. So of course as I said the paint around the handles of the doors was chipped and messy looking. The painter was fine with fixing things and went on. I then noticed the 1930's vintage windows had the ropes broken. I had just had professional window experts on vintage windows look at them and they were perfectly fine and in good order. Yet when I told Courtney the ropes were broken and they would need to cover the cost to repair them she just argued with me. Said they didn't do it and she didn't know they were not broken before. I was like YOUR KIDDING RIGHT! I just had pros in here with the painter present opening and closing them and they were fine. YET SHE ARGUED & ARGUED they didn't do it & wouldnt lie. A bit later then text and said yes one of them did see a rope snap. Those ropes were perfect and I told she would need to cover the repair on those. She again argued even more about how great the work is yet she delivered a mess. She then missed an entire room and closet! I asked why was the room and closet not painted we talked about it on the day you came and it WAS in the original bid, she again argued it was not and it would cost more to do it. The way their system is, is that if she goes in and changes anything the original bid is no longer available to see, how convenient for them. She then sent the new bid nearly $1000 MORE. We already paid here over another $1000 more on the final bid because she said paint prices went up & inflation yet all the other painters told us that is not true after the fact. She then went in again after I had to argue with her it was not right and then said most of it was mill work they dont do and they only do ONE COAT yet "gave" two on some areas! NO PAINTER does only 1 coat of paint! In the bid it clearly said 2. It is like every thing that SHOULD be done as a pro painter is being missed then upcharged to do it right when it should have been right the in the first place. All she can do is argue. I do NOT recommend them, they can't be trusted. After several rounds of their horrible attempts to fix things, there are still drips and peeling paint which could have been avoided had they sanded properly and primed with the right way. They expect to be paid top dollar for poor quality work. AVOID or you will be spending weeks cleaning dripped paint off quarter round, door handles, redoing things. THEY DO NOT know what they are doing and the pictures they use to advertise on the site ARE NOT THEIR WORK. ITS FRAUD. Courtney also lied to Home Advisor that she did not do any work for me to get the bad review removed. THAT is why she has no bad reviews because she gets them removed BY LYING

We've tried to resolve this offline multiple times and it appears you have a personal vendetta against us/myself, Courtney. We've treated you with respect from start to finish and will continue to do so in our efforts to resolve this matter. We run an honest, ethically-driven business and have not once lied to you, or any other client, or partner-associated company. Thanks for your feedback and we'll once again be in touch to close this chapter.
