DIY Wednesday: We're Building a Book Shelf!
This is the first in a series of DIY Wednesdays blog posts chronicling a little DIY project that Marcy Tate and I are doing. Marcy and I decided to build a book shelf from pallets we found outside the Networx office. They were in good shape and looked to us like prime building materials. We're do-it-yourself gals, and we are really psyched to be building something just for this blog. By the time we're done, you'll know the ins and outs of building a book case from found materials. You can learn from our mistakes (we might make some), and feel free to send us building tips if you've built something from found pallets before.
Our mission: Build sturdy shelves out of deconstructed wood pallets. Decorate the shelves in a mod way so that you'd never know they were made out of scrap wood.
Check out these "before" photos of Marcy Tate and me. Stay tuned to see these plain old pallets turn into good-looking and sturdy office storage.
