The Department of Energy (DOE) has announced plans to invest $230 million in electric vehicle programs across the country. The main cost of the venture is the charging stations and infrastructure that must be constructed. For Plano residents and other Texans this need is being met by the DOE who is building 15,000 charging stations across seven states, including Texas. But Plano, Texas garage door services are looking into the matter together with electric vehicle developers and trying to create private, road-side chargers that can only be accessed by the resident who lives there.
