Saint Paul police and other law enforcement officials in the region are urging residents to better secure their property, specifically their garage doors. After Saint Paul, Minnesota residents recently experienced a number of break-ins and thefts, police observed that the majority were carried out by the burglar entering open or non-secured garage. Saint Paul garage door services say they offer extra security features but most residents opt for the standard locks, thinking it will suffice. However, as eight burglaries and thousands of dollars will attest, it doesn’t. Police say they are working on ways to catch the thief, but that residents shouldn’t leave their doors unlocked or any valuables in unsecured locations.
