America’s biggest hotel is embarking on a massive $160 million renovation. Las Vegas’ MGM Grand reported recently that it will be remodeling all 3,570 of its guest rooms and its 642 suites. Las Vegas, Nevada flooring contractors will also overhaul the casino floor, restaurants, clubs and showrooms in a project named “the grand renovation.” But executives at MGM are not giving away any specific details or information about the cost of such a project. The hotel first opened in 1993 at a cost of $1 billion and received its last major remodel in 1999 when it had a significant floor installation. The Las Vegas hotel was the biggest in the world when it opened, but currently holds the number two spot.
