Work Description: Repair of door
Comments: DCAA (Mike Wallick) was referred because original contractor inquiry was not able to do job. Mike came over, gave an estimate, stating that the door would have to be removed and the job might take a day or more. He said he would come the following week. I agreed to the estimate. The following week I had not heard from him. I texted and he replied that he would come the next week on Monday, which he did, arriving at 9am. He began work on the door and did not have to remove it. He replaced the threshold. Several times during the job I had to corrct him and have home do it over. The finish work was terrible, more like some rough carpentry you would find in a barn than the exterior door on the inside of a home. He did correct the errors I found to the bare minimum. He also drilled a hole in the hardwood floor immediately in front of the door and failed to point it out. I noticed it, called him on it, and his reply was "yep, a little putty will fix it." He did not fix it or even apply a little putty. At the end of the job he presented me a bill for materials that I felt was excessive. He also did not reduce the price of the job. So he worked less than 6 hours, did a poor job, and got paid $300. I am unsatisfied and will not utilize his services again nor recommend him.Blythewood SC

Work Description: I think he took on a two man job and it would have gone better if he had delayed it and gotten help. It is not finished because he needed a table saw for cutting trim. He took my trims with him. I allowed for Thanksgiving to pass. Finally spoke to him 12-15-16 with promise of finishing 12-19-16. (that required more than one call/text to reach.) It is now 12-21-16 and still nothing.
Comments: I am fairly easy-going, and have waited way too long to register this complaint. Wanted to give him a chance. I'm over that now. Don't know if you can help but I would like the project finished. I HAVE NOT PAID HIM, however, the parts he has with him cost more than he was charging.-
