Comments: I had explained from the start that that I lived in a coop, and they merely required proof of his insurance, not board approval or anything complicated.We signed an agreement about two weeks ago. $500 was much higher than I ever planned to pay. But. he seemed brilliant, pointing out that he could easily change the orientation of the bathroom door from one that dangerously opened into the bathroom to one that safely open into the hallway. That problem had worried me since I had moved in 7 years go. It made it impossible for a rollator or. walker to get into the bathroom.His retrofit solved the problem. No one else has noticed there were two door fames already there.This morning I felt anxious that I had not checked out his references and reviews as thoroughly as a librarian would who had just not suffered brain damage. I asked if he had ever been reviewed by the better Business Bureau, and did he guarantee his work. He called I. and I thought I has soothed his insulted reaction, which seems extreme. Obviously I live Line in. one bedroom Pt. and 500 was a significant expense.
A day before the work was to begin just as I was explaining exactly what the board required with the necessary addresses h had requested, I get this ."But after careful consideration, I have decided I cannot do any work for you. Sorry to do this, but you will have to find someone else."
At first he seemed brilliant, saw a way to change bathroom from one where door opened dangerously into the room, to one where the door openenedsafely out into the hallway. He was also going to install thee shower grab bars. Quoted a price of $500, which seemed reasonable. The brain bleed left me befuddled, and I. d id not do my usual librarian checkup. This morning He was highly insulted when I asked if guaranteed his work.guaranteed his work and whether he has reviews on Better Business Bureau. I had gust gotten out o hospital when I firs employed him and did not do my usual homework. I was just explaining where to send proof of his insurance to the property manaaganger, when he quit. PLEASE DO NOT USE HIM FOR ANY HANDICAP SAFELY ISSUES, especially if you are a woman..

Comments: this guy is a standout! He called and texted the day before to confirm the appt and showed up on time. He reviewed the necessary work, provided a quote, and worked hard to fix everything within budget (and even went to Home Depot). He was honest about what he couldn't fix (an outdoor fountain). At 7 pm on the day he was here, a water leak he worked on reopened. Steve was here in 15 minutes, apologized for not checking the seal, fixed it, said he would be back Tuesday to respackle water damage to the ceiling below, and was back on Monday. How many other handymen would have told us to catch the water in a bucket and "see you on Monday". This guy is truly a gem.Bay Shore NY

I just purchased a house and the bay window needed insulation. Steve went beyond the call of duty!
He went through the outside and took down the siding. He make three squares in every section. Stuffed almost a whole roll of insulation in. Closed up the holes, sealed it and replaced the siding. Now my livingroom is warm and I don't feel like I am standing outside.
I would highly recommend Steve before you call anyone else! I will be hiring Steve to power wash my house in the spring.
