Description: Koby Sakal comes from a background that combines fine building and design with the creative world of the artist. His entire family has combined an artistic sensibility with the skills and creativity of the building trades. He is a third generation fine design/building contractor, and both he and his brother, Ori Sakal, owner and CEO of Eco Design Pro in Los Angeles, worked side-by-side with their father, learning technical design skills together with advanced construction techniques. Koby and Ori both grew up watching and working as the family designed and built high-end homes and residential units in Israel.

Koby first came to the U.S. in 1995, and with a background degree in art, he was immediately drawn to the skill of Scagliola; a method of creating imitation marble or other stonework by mixing plaster with glue and dyes that are then finished in various ways. In 2004, he put his artistic skills to work at Paramout Pre-cast Design, Inc., a manufacturer of upscale custom pre-cast stone designs. Here he developed both techniques and materials that take the art of pre-cast concrete stonework to the next level.

With Signature Fireplace Mantels, he brings his technical expertise and artistic vision to his own line of premier cast-concrete fireplaces. He believes that the hearth of a fireplace anchors the heart of a home, and he enjoys working with designers, architects, and homeowners to realize their vision of a fireplace that is not just a fireplace - but a showpiece.
