Comments: Post Heating Cooling Electric is not a company I would recommend. I had hired Tim on several jobs over the last year and each became more problematic. Tim seems to think that he should charge what he thinks you're worth or what he can get out of you; and on almost every job, when it was done, he added additional charges on saying, oh that wasn't included in the estimate. No offense Tim, but you're the HVAC guy, don't you know what's supposed to be included in a job estimate?The final straw for me was:
Time installed a furnace and AC unit at my personal residence, and after the equipment was ordered and paid for, by me, he told me that he would not do the work for the amount he quoted. After about two hours of debate, he agreed to do the work. It seemed he actually had gotten more money out of me than he did, I just simply agreed to pay him for the previous job he had finish a few days prior, but I was going to pay him anyway.
On the install Tim forgot to glue the cold air intake PVC line, I noticed and brought to his attention. He spilled a bottle of PVC glue on my floor and my hot water heater, and then blamed it on my kids - who had not been in the room since he started the work.
To make matters worse, two weeks ago when the first hot weather hit, I turned on my brand new AC, and it didn't work.
I called Tim and it was apparent he did not want to come over to my house to take a look. First insisting that I would have to pay him for a service call if he did; and then telling me, to start switching wires on my thermostat because it was probably something I did.
My frustration grew way beyond that when Tim had the nuts to tell my partner that I had screwed him out of $200 for the work he did at my house. Which couldn't be further from the truth. If that had been the case, as he did the work five months ago, why am I now hearing that I didn't pay something I owed him?
I have called another company to come look at what the issue is with my AC unit, and I will have to pay for whatever it may be; but then I would rather do that than allow Tim back onto my property
I hate giving this sort of review as I liked Tim and had been trying to give him work as he would show up and do the job - and we had given him a good amount of work so you think he would make sure his install at my house worked, at least, I think that's reasonable. It just became too painful dealing with his wildly inconsistent pricing and questionable practices and changing demands during jobs.
To finish: All the above is simply my opinion based on my personal experience with Tim at Post Heating Cooling Electric, your experience may be different, though somehow I doubt it.
