Work Description: Painted interior of our new house.

Comments: Brad is a customer at a store I manage in Portland. Last year I bought my first home (new construction) and wanted to have the walls painted so I asked Brad to come over and give me a bid. I'm easy, but my wife on the other hand is VERY picky! She was happy with the bid AND very happy with the painting crew! Not only did they do an excellent job they even went beyond the call of duty to help my wife with a side painting project she was doing in one of the bedrooms. A class act all the way! Thanks Brad and crew!!

Work Description: Floating Home Exterior: Combination of Cedar Shingles that had weathered at different rates. The whole house needed to be power washed, bleached and then stained.

Comments: I met Brad from Painting Oregon at the Home and Garden Show in Portland this year. He was helpful and knowledgeable about the work and offered to come and visit my home and provide an estimate. He also advised using products that were Eco Friendly and would not taminate the water. He followed up promptly, provided a fair quote with a detailed breakdown and advised he would try and meet my schedule to have the work completed. The work was finished last week and I'm very happy with the end result. The team, led by Brandon worked hard everyday. They arrived on time and left each day with no visible mess. The job ended up being longer and harder than they expected, however at no time did they complain or change the estimate. Their only requirement was to meet and exceed my expectations...whch they did. Thank you and I would highly recommend Brad, Brandon and the Painting Oregon team.

Work Description: Painted several interior rooms including living room, kitchen, bathrooms, stairwell and master bedroom with a couple of accent walls.

Comments: Painting Oregon was helpful in suggesting colors to paint the interior of several rooms in our house. They were professional and able to get the job in a timley manner. They did a great job cleaning the "mess" after they were done and we were left with nice, clean, beautiful walls.

Work Description: Complete removal of lead paint on all parts of the house not previously remodeled. Complete priming and painting of all surfaces include house, sunroom, dormers, and garage as well as on the wroughtiron fence, porch wroughtiron work, foundation, porch surface with grit, all exterior doors, front safety door, all trim and cleaned the roof of moss.

Comments: I would like to complement the Painting Oregon team that did my little 1931 house: Dan, Jim and Brad (I hope I got all the names right, not good keeping names and faces together).

Anyway ...

Starting with the bidding process, Painting Oregon was on time, listened to what I wanted and what my main concerns were and did a thorough job of itemizing each part of the project. Painting Oregon was not the least expensive nor the most but it was the most thorough. Once all of the items were agreed to, the paperwork for the contract arrived. It was nicely done, easy to understand and the down payment and final payment issues well explained. The additional materials dealing with the removal of the lead paint was appreciated and understandable.

My main concern throughout the project was that the newly blown in insulation not be damaged by pressure washing which would likely push water into the insulation. The entire crew was well aware of this major concern and adapted their usual procedures to insure that there was no water damage to the insulation. I am very appreciative of that. The garage and sunroom were not insulated and those areas were done normally and that was as it should be.

There were several problems that came up due to the age of the house and the layers of paint already on the exterior. All of the problems were handled well and resulted in a better final paint project for me. All of the pipes, outlets, wires, house numbers, etc were removed and replaced and look better than before. What ever other items that I had/could not move out of the way, the crew did and returned them to their spots after all the work was done.

The crew cleaned up each day and kept the stored materials in such a way that I could get my vehicle in and out of the garage as necessary. I was not home during most of the painting but upon inspection each day realized the crew was doing a fine job. I had nothing to be concerned about. In fact here is a nice compliment as well. I went to Sherwin-Williams to pick out the paint colors and to be sure that the color could be mixed into the paint base I had ordered. The clerk asked me if I was doing the painting, no I said, I have hired a contractor. He asked who. I said Painting Oregon; he said they are my best customer. That was the icing on the cake for me -- no one would be buying that much paint from one source without a really, really good reputation. Ta da. I picked a good one!

So thank you Painting Oregon, Brad and the crew that did my little home on Wygant it looks fabulous!!!!

Mary
