Work Description: Cleanup of and planting of flowers in a small plot in front of home. Planting of flowers in 4 containers on a small patio at rear of home.
Comments: The contractor showed up only after two telephone calls over a two week time period. His first question should have told me to run him off my property. His question was, "how much do you have to spend". I foolishly told him about $400 and he said that he would buy the flowers and plants. When he sowed up at my home he had a few flowers and plants that looked as though they came off the special priced shelf because they were not good fresh flowers. He presented me with a bill of $490. I paid him that amount and told him that I felt he charged me too much for what I received. He said that he would return and plant more flowers. I have neither seen nor heard from him. It was my mistake to hire him, let him begin to work at my home and to pay him. Don't let anyone else get taken by this "contractor". I accept at least 50 percent of the blame for hiring him in the first place.
