Work Description: paint, tile, etc..
Comments: All was fairly smooth at 1st. Joe would usually come @ 8:30am, and if I had already left for the gym, he had the code to the garage door. I get home @10 & 1 of his workers is in my house I asked how he got in, said that Joe gave him the code which I told Joe in conf. I dont know these guys & didn’t want them in my house w/o me or Joe being there. A worker of his named Jeff was to do some non related work for me, but hadnt text him til it was time for it to be done. Jeff decided he wasnt going to do work b/c Joe told him he had to fix the crappy tile job he did. Jeffs response was that cheap tile will do that (crack, chip, etc.) I should’ve been told this B4 I bought the tile & the work was done. So b/c Jeff didn’t want to fix his own work, I never heard back. I told Joe, I hired YOU and paid YOU, YOU hired Jeff. He said that I DIDN’T pay him (which I did…in his proposal he stated 2 days to lay the tile @ 250/day. Theres NO WAY that small floor took 2 days to tile)He told me take it up with Jeff b/c he did the work & no longer works for Joe.. I wrote down WORD FOR WORD items that Joe texted me which I ordered. Doors were installed the opposite of how they were fixed the way it should be, AFTER Joe blamed me for ordering wrong items. I wont pay 250/day for HIS mistake. Also stated painting of doors but they came painted. I was told the entire frame has to come out & new door bought. Left floors dirty in upstairs BR, woodchips in corners, dust left on grout. which is dust & which is grout? Sloppy paint job in up br, splats of paint on sink, corners sloppy, molding has paint on them. Told him & he tells me that I DID ALL the sloppy work (I started paint didn’t finished. I left paint only on the faceplates) that Im crazy, do I need a # to a good dr for meds. THIS is cust svc? Told him work was unacceptable, claims I didn’t pay him, I said Im reporting you to the BBB, HE said if you do I’ll call your ins co & tell them you demanded I give you a receipt for $1000 more then what you paid me, ever hear of insurance fraud is what he said. Im stunned. Maybe HE thinks I made some $ off the ins co b/c I had other work done? After my deductible, etc I STILL paid 2G outta pocket for carpet, etc. no $ left after paying cash to contractors. DONT want him or his workers here & now have to pay some1 to fix everything. Left debris, installed cracked saddle then wanted to charge me $50 to replace it. . I can't help but think that if my tattooed, long haired, biker husband were still alive, he wouldnt be taking advantage of me &speaking; to me the way he has & would have stood by his work (or lack thereof) & I feel that others should know this before hiring him and be reimbursed for items that I now have to pay for, again, to be fixed-
