Comments: 2 yrs ago, I had John Shaw come to my house to paint the exterior of our house and shed. John was polite, patient and thorough when we talked about what I wanted-- colors, what areas we were painting which colors etc... He allowed us to make ourt own choices, but also offered expert advice as far as where we would want to apply the lighter color and where to apply the darker trim color, like what effect it would have to put either on the carport ceiling. He was also very detailed-- like he made sure to paint the electrical box exterior water pipes so they don't look like an eyesore standing out on the house-- something I wouldn't have even thought of, but it sure looks great. The first day they went around, sealing cracks and sanding rough spots, abnd they did a really great job. SOme of our wood trim was not in the greatest shape and they really fixed it up nice. They let me sample at least 6 different shades of green which they displayed both in full sun and shade areas so we could see the effect, which was great cause some of the colors I thought I'd love where not what we thought once put on the walls. The next day they did the painting. As they worked there was one point the crew painted the back porch posts green when I thought they would be brown. I mentioned it politely to John and they fixed it with no problem. John also personally did a walk through with me at the end, so if I noticed any stray paint on concrete or any trim boards that should have been the other color, I could point it out then. After the walk through, he said I had a year to call for touch ups if we noticed anything else that was missed. Overall, the job was done in two days and 2 yrs later, our house still looks great!Chandler AZ

Comments: I will tell you that the work quality, detail, and fairness of John Shaw, owner of John and Sons Painting is the best contractor I have ever dealt with in my life. John personally oversaw his crew and every single little detail that he and I discussed prior to the contract signing was completed beautifully, professionally, on time and at the price quoted. I have looked over the entire project at completion and noticed a few things that only "perfectionists" and folks like me that notice the smallest detail would see. John personally went over the job at completion (and before he released his crew) and noted every single thing I had noticed. He discussed with his crew, marked every single thing with bright orange masking tape and had them correct it to literal perfection!! My home was a complex two story high home with a very large patio. I just want everyone to know that too often we complain, but how often do we tell everyone just how great a contractor really is!? You need to know that you need to call John and Sons for the absolute highest quality workmanship and materials that you will find in this market.........and the most honest and best contractor you have ever hired or dealt with. I told John he could use me for a reference if he wished.........simply the best contractor you will find.........is honest, is very professional, is extremely caring of a final high quality job.......and simply the best contractor you will find.
